A mix of both, bombers bleed your enemies tickets and fast, its not just about everyone dying within 5 minutes
True, yes, but I would much rather have attackers that can at least score kills on my team than ones that cannot. A 4 vs 16 while trying to defend the people on your team so they can bleed the tickets doesn’t sound fun to me. If RB EC was added and things could be more spread out I would support the F-117 in game. As of now though it would be useless.

Ill certainly agree attack planes like Wyvern are a hell of a lot more valuable to a team than just a bomber but every warplane has its rightful place in war thunder, finding the right spot however doesn’t seem to be gaijins forte

Knowing gaijin, they gonna add the su-57 saying it’s technically 4.5 gen. Either that or they buff the su-57 artificially. Buffing russia in game doesn’t change the fact that Russia is getting absolutely clapped irl

Technically there’s pilot testimony that the Aim-120 was fitted at one point in time (hard to believe, and if so it must have been that one F-117 with a radar), and something something 2 Aim-9s in the weapons bay but also unconfirmed.
If it does get those Aim-9s, then it would be more like the Buccaneer, but would be a whole other monster with the Aim-120s combined with its stealth…

It is rather dubious because what radar would the F-117 use? Why did they attach pylons with coolants for the AIM-9s?
I think something like that would be like giving a biplane missiles, like yeah maybe it could but it’s a logistical nightmare and not good for anyone ;)

Anyways… the F-117 has no viability in WT, not to mention that a fair bit about it is still classified iirc. It’d just be dead weight and we already have entire lines of dead weight aircraft for every nation. Thanks, Gaijin, very cool.

Japan never bought the F-16 currently found in the Japanese tech tree. They trailed the jet (they even trialed the F-14), but that was it as they never purchased it. Instead they went on to purchase and use the F-15, & eventually develop the Mitsubishi F-2!
