Lets talk about hullbreak and overpressure. Their similarities, differences, and what they are

Basically title
Wanted to figure out specifically how these 2 mechanics are different and similar. How they interact with vehicles and such.

From what i understand, hull break is when a large projectile destroys the hull enough to knock out a vehicle, which was useful for when light tanks and AA vehicles didn’t set off the fuse on APHE rounds.

Overpressure on the other hand is the mechanic that replaced hull break. so, If your vehicle is open top, lightly armored, or the shell being fired it has enough HE, the explosion creates a pressure wave that kills your crew.

I’m hoping that both of these could be added together instead of 1 or the other. Sense they both have their positives and negatives.
(Given these mechanics are actually tweaked to work together)
