The new update brought bigger turret rings to leopards and abrams. Its maybe more “realistic” yet every shot, sometimes even with 50cal, it jams and the tanks is not usable, even without any crew member dead its just loses every possibility to do something with the battle for the win, so russia wins again. If this is to be “normal” I think Leo should get faster reload speed by -0.6s atleast. Even tho IRL loaders can do it in 5s.
Just my thoughts cause play a lot STRVs, Leos and Abrams and its just unplayable in this state. Feel like this can be problem of the 1death and leave scenario like with premium top tier tanks. So 3min games are not fun. The 3mins games is what made me leave wot
Mate, you are asking for “skill issue” and “how about don’t get shot” comments.
Yeah, it really doesn’t make for good gameplay whatsoever.
If you get hit and your turret ring doesn’t go out it’s remarkable.
If they’re going to do this, then they should do it for all tanks at the same time, just just drip feeding them out slowly.
Unfortunately, gaijin never learns from their mistakes.
-
Helis get sweeping abitrary changes where a machine gun grazing a wing can shut down all of it’s systems despite redundancies
-
“yes good realistic change”
-
Some tanks get a turret basket
-
wtf unbalanced, Gaijin APFSDS now shuts down my tank, this is so unrealistic
I dont know one person who uses helicopters that liked the heli change not to even mention the method they chose to do so. Only players who dislike helis and likely never even used them. Both issues (helis and turret baskets) are equally bad and hurt gameplay in the end.
Well, but there is difference, you are camped behind a hill in heli and shoot “fire and forget” missiles that insta kill everything. Not to mention that only good AA is in russia. I started WT as “realistic” or longer and tactical game to not lose/win in under 3minutes. I want to fight to the end, but even tho I have everybody alive in the tank, everything functional but the turret ring, in these small maps where 6 tanks are in 200m around you, its impossible to back up or fix yourself. But heli is 8km out over helipad so he just hover to fix himself without any threat.
Remind me, wasn’t it this community that voted for the addition of those modules?
Yea, I know, I feel it could be in the category “stop crying” but I really like longer games. Just today as I played STRV 122b i got shot, turret drive off, nothing else damaged, thought my teamm8 in Leo 2A6 could kill the guy, but only thing I see is him backing up with the same issue. Same goes to abrams, they gave it 5s reload, but you wont use it cause your turret is stuck 90% of the time… :D feel like this change was bad for the game and not good. I know about realistic but the realistic thing is about shooting over distance. Only russian tanks are good in close combat. I kind off fear how the game will look if they implement it on every tank, the game might die cause everybody will play only russian tanks, cause they wont have it for sure
idk to be honest. I am not that deep into this game to know everything that they think about adding. Just a regular player who enjoys big shooting things :D
That was a rhetorical question 😂
But yes, FYI the community DID vote for the turret basket, so i genuinely don’t know why people are whining over a module THEY wanted implemented.
Thanks for letting me know I’m never going back to being a Swedish main
no the community voted to add modules to light tanks so no armor wasnt the best armor at top tier, at no point did they vote to add turret baskets as horizontal drives
Even if the community did vote for those modules, why only nerf NATO vehicles when russia gets autloaders that eat shots without exploding ?
Turret baskets keep the crew rotating with the turret, they don’t jam the turret ring if they are hit with spawl. I want real life mimicing damage not fantasy nerf damage.
The issue wasn’t helis, it was certain helis that could tank a 120mm round and keep flying
if anything the autoloaders should jam the turrets when damaged due to being made of thicker metal
That would be better balanced, or it should just detonate like irl
I’m pretty sure it’s because they didn’t roll it out to all end of line vehicles at the same time. The same goes for helicopters
Yeah i don’t think it can detonate if you don’t hit the ammo
you can’t hit the autoloader without hitting the ammo …
