It objectively has the most mechanics you have to know to do well consistently (notching+multipathing+managing radar+knowing how to manage many threats at once+etc) as well as those mechanics being the most difficult mechanics overall to learn relative to 99% of mechanics. It’s much harder to learn how to notch consistently than it is most other mechanics in the game.
The only people who complain about top tier not taking skill that I have ever seen have not had good stats in top tier. You can’t consistently do well and be bad.
Does it look like it struggles? still using tier 1 M829 btw, I actually went ahead and go after the engine upgrade instead of M829A1 because the M829 doesn’t struggle to kill anything even 12.0s. The damaged basket is annoying for sure, but the post-basket Abrams is still one of the strongest mbts I’ve ever played.

You do realize that the M1A1’s turret ring is stronger than the one on the M1A2-SEP-SEPV2? I’ve already said that the M1A1 is the best Abrams in the game paired with an F5E, but we cannot forget about to talk about the basket is a straight up nerf.
I’m just too busy hating CAS spam and completely unaware of the difference in turret ring durability. Regarding the nerf, they are in a similar situation when the autoloader module hitbox was added, the ru/china mains felt the same. It’s actually more balanced now if you put minor nations into consideration.
Top tier still a shitshow even if you give the Abrams a better protection than Leopard 2A7, if I manage to stay alive for two minutes then I die to those stupid CAS.
Abrams should be at the same protection as the 2A7 or even better. Also the SEPV2 was a useless addition to the US with zero improvements whatsoever with 4tons added with a kit that did not add anything and making it more fat.
Well, you should know this fact before saying that the Abrams is the best tank in the game while only playing the best one so far, maybe try the SEPV2 you can feel the suffering.
Premium grade cope, 2a7v best tank in the game, shame most germany players are still grinding it, most are bad anyway but at least the tank carries (every ru player in existence has the bvm in contrast).
Also i swear that trunnion they added just make the tank more survivable.
