why is leo2a5/6 12BR ? you have very low chance to survive against any shot
t90a is br11 and t90m is br12, both have the russia toptier shell.
but leo2a5/6 and 7 are all br12.leo2a5/6 have less armor than leo2a7.
Because top tier ground is compressed to hell, 2A5/2A6 are correctly placed, its the 2A7V thats underBRed.

because this is the gaijin " balanc" 430-450 kinetik armor easely penetrate all tanks in this tier under turret “frontal armor” + very bad thermal for this tier 2a7 have 680 mm frontal protection and good thermal , spall liner bur no works bekause the spall liner spaling :P same br this no have sense look at the strv 780-800mm hull same br but weaker round this have “balanc” vs 2a7 . or look at he leopard 2 pl have A4 hull 330 mm protection 9.0 tank penetrate is and way weaker ammo and only 0.3 br diference “11.7 br” so this is a good question.
Well 2A5 and A6 could go down to 11.7 in theory since Abrams 11.7 kinda similar to it with faster reloads

Challenger and Ariete are clearly no different to the 2A5, let alone the 2A6, yeah.
yeah but there are also 11.7 Arietes and Chally 2s, and 2A5/2A6 is clearly superiror to both.

i would put the t90a at 11.3 max if was going up it lacks all things that make it a meta/good top tier tank: mobility and reaction time.

Ground top BR should be raised to 12.7 or the non-uparmoured Leopard 2s should lose DM53 and go down to 11.7 (firing DM43 like the 2A5 used to), anyways they don’t feel like 12.0 material by any stretch of the imagination, they don’t even have modern thermals or fancy bells and whistles to justify that BR (like LWS or an APS)

Which has the same pen as the KE-W round on the M1A1 AIM and less then then the M829a1 on the 11.3 Abrams.
Try playing the Type 10 or Ariete…
They are among the best 12.0s in the game.
T-90A being allegedly under-BR’d is irrelevant.
T-90M is at least marginally worse than Leopard 2A5.
2A5 having slightly less UFP armor than 2A7V isn’t what makes a tank objectively worse.
@Beeschurger 2A7V is not notably better.

Only downside is top speed
Out of all of those, DM53 and thermals are the only things that are tangible, and both of those are on my 2A5.
How often do you see long range maps where that UFP us useful?
Probably about as many times where it’s semi-useful on 2A5 as well.
Maps are usually all or nothing for concealing hulls.
And close quarters maps don’t care how much armor your UFP has.

U have short barrel dm53 which is much less effective and u have gen1 for gunner and gen 2 for commander while 2a7 has gen 3 for both

That is a 4.8% difference. That is borderline marginal.
Strf 9040C to 2S38 is ~22%, and 2S38 to HSTVL is another ~22%. I’ve seen people dismiss those upticks entirely. Those are notable changes in penetration.
Going from 3BM25 [T-55AM’s best kinetic round] to 105mm DM23 is 52% difference.
Going from 3BM60 to DM53 is 7%.
My maximum range ground to ground frag remains 3.3km using IPM1 with thermals on. Gen 3 thermals can help identify targets for simulator, but that’s where the benefits end.
UFP armor is not the primary armor shown on close range maps as side armor is.

And having good thermals especially for the commander is a big advantge
