I have noticed that all of the Leopard 2 through 2A6 (dont have 2A7) load their front ammo rack first over the ready rack with blowout panels in the turret first. I am positive this should be the opposite as it makes zero sense for the loader to crawl up to the driver and grab shells when theres a empty ready rack right behind him.
I don’t have an MBT, but that seems…wrong…I probably wouldn’t load the rounds farther away first…
if you mean when you resupply shells in battle then yes I believe that is what happens but the loader then can transfer them to the ready rack
but if you only load 20 shell when you go into battle then they will be in the ready rack first and the rest of the ammo storage second
Loading into a battle I bring 23 shells and the front rack is always loaded first
