It does suffer from BMPT syndrome. But that was pretty universal.
As for this vehicle. It will be a good addition imo.

Its a specific configuration used only by Indonesia and not used by Germany, for all intents and purposes its an Indonesian vehicle. The same way the F-4F is considered German or the Phantom FG.1 is British instead of American
Besides, as mentioned already, theres plenty of similar German 2A4s which can be added to the German tree instead

I agree with you. Operators get their vehicles now. The company’s position on that has shifted. Look how many trees have leopards. Soon even the Israeli TT will via Greece.
I don’t know. I’ve seen some pretty convincing stuff otherwise. It was almost certainly in the works. It just got leaked at a very inconvenient time. Allegedly, IMO.
Indonesia literally owns them. If you sell something, you don’t own it anymore. If I buy a car the manufacturer / previous owner can’t just decide to take it either.

Fair. You are correct. This isn’t the place for this part of the conversation.
They did fix two things on the Norinco VT-4 demonstrator. The ERA was split into smaller blocks so they wouldn’t be used up on a single hit anymore and they moved the autoloader up into the correct position where it’s more protected by the front hull armor. I also think it got spall liners, but I don’t know if that was at the same time.
But they removed the second fix because people wanted them to fix VT-4A1 too, and Gaijin being Gaijin decided that instead of doing that they would rather make both wrong.
Thai VT-4 was only in the files, but never added and iirc we haven’t even seen a model for it since Norinco demonstrator looks a bit different.

in a not long after later patch it was added, albeit in an extremely coarse and ahistorical way (bug report came soon after, got accepted, sits in limbo forever probably)

BVVD mentioned it on the update stream, the only thing unconfirmed was when it was planned.
I’d also argue half of the Tusk Force teaser (everything about Thai tanks) looks like it was improvised on the spot after something had to be cut, but that’s just my suspicion and unconfirmed.
He mentioned it may come in a later update, but that doesn’t mean it was coming that update nor is that confirmation of anything.

TTs are really a mess now. Abrams, Leopards, T-tanks wildly distrubuted to other operators.

I’m usually one to complain VS germany, saying they get a lot of favour, but this is ridiculous.
Not only is Germany lacking a top tier MBT addition (2A7V while great does not really mean that all other form of leopards should be left to rot).
They’re also lacking some serious additions, oh great a copy paste premium puma, a hummel (which is nice) as well as that other premium prop which is over BRd.
the M1A1 AIMs going to GB will be a massive bonus, especially after they’re about to destroy the CR2.
However japan now is just a patchwork tree, bit like how italy is turning out and what Isreal is about to turn into.
I mean that’s just what exports are, you get more funds for your developments in exchange for other nations using the stuff you sell.
The real issue I see is how those developments aren’t being added, for example a German Leopard 2 Evolution / Revolution demonstrator would be nice to see.
