Serious note, germany is kind of a joke especially at top tier, but it has more to do the with the players than anything. You could give them the most uber suped up version of the leo2 and they would still have a .6kd and maybe 2 spawn before leaving matches. Sweden at least is more interesting with better ifv’s and light tanks to go along with the strv’s and arguably better cas than germany.

The leo 2a7 preforms fine, it genuinely is a player issue, sure its not as strong as it once was but it still does a fine job.

Also this statement contradicts itself, game is always going to be balanced off of player performance and player skill in a vehicle. the whole ‘historical’ argument is just people hiding behind they want the newest and shiniest OP thing for the nation they grinded out and have an emotional attachment too.

Thats just plainly untrue. German top tier vehicles have pretty much the same spawn/game ratio as all other top tier vehicles and the 2A7V is the best performing top tier tank from a major by a good margin. They also had the highest major winrate from June-August and Febuary+March. So yes German top tier teams do actually perfom when they have the lineup to do so just like all other tech trees.
You are missing the entire point of this topic. This isn’t about emotional bias; it’s about a clear progression path. The core argument from the very beginning is simple: Germany either needs the Leopard 2A8 to stay competitive with modern top-tier additions, or the current Leopard 2A7V needs to be properly modeled with its missing D-Tech hull armor and its historically accurate DM73 ammunition. That being said, SEPv2 Trophy was passed to the developers shortly before being showcased and released; and, during the Dev Server season, they did say that “nations not getting new MBTs would be getting them shortly afterwards”, so I believe there may be credible cause to believe Germany may be getting either 2A7A1, 2A8 or even both soon (as we got v2 Trophy and v3)?

I mean personally I’d want to see dm73 just because they refused the idea of dm53 getting anti era capabilities and we’ll I think it would be very hard for them to refuse them for dm73 (and again watching Russian mains complain about the 700mm+ penning APFSDS would be funny)
