I think it would belong in the highest BR category, and its counterparts with Trophy tanks would also benefit from the Leopard 2 A8; Italy, France, Sweden, only a few would have a bit more, like Germany with the 2A7A1 variant, France Leclerc Evolution prototype, Japan in the future (they’re just evaluating), U.K Challenger 3, USA Abrams V3, Russia T-90 and T-80 with the ARENA system, even the future Korean technology branch like the K2 has its own variant, and Turkey with its Altay AKKOR (although Turkey hasn’t been announced in the game yet, it’s just an example) If WT implements them well, it would be fantastic for defending against FnF missiles from the CAS.
First of all, hello. In the new update, we saw that every country got a good, decent MBT. But for some reason, Germany could only get a Puma, a copy-paste vehicle. Even the STRV tanks got DM53 ammunition and, with their top-of-the-line armor, their penetration power increased. The fact that the Leopard 2A7V is still nerfed, has poor armor, and is stuck with the DM53 is very discouraging and seems like Germany is in a lot of trouble. Better armor and DM73 ammunition should be a priority for Germany and should be added. It’s very difficult to see teams playing as Germany in the game anymore. Germany is excluded from NATO and is playing on the same team as Russia. The main country in the game has been Germany vs. the USSR since the game’s inception. But now they’re playing against other sub-trees in the same team. This is very sad and leads to the conclusion that the German tree is finished. The German tree should always remain a main and should play against Russia so that the true purpose of the game becomes clear. The Leopard 2A8 should be more armored and come with the DM73 ammunition and shouldn’t be nerfed. This could make the German tank a very playable option for players who are struggling with the armor. Currently, Germany doesn’t have any other playable tanks besides the 2A7V. Looking at other countries, even their STRV tanks are a step below the Leopards, but they’re more heavily armored, and three of them still use the same armor. They also recently acquired the DM53 ammunition. German players can no longer dominate games like they used to; their numbers have decreased, and I see this more and more as I play. German teams are playing alongside Russians. Please, those who want the Leopard 2A8 with the DM73 ammunition to be added to the game, show your support in this post.

DM53 is stil the best top tier shell ingame and germany has it on a albeit slightly uparmored leopard with the L55 gun which is better than the L44 found on the STRV series

Make a suggestion for the Spanish L2A6E, TLDR an L2A6 with the STRV up armour package.
First and foremost, I like the idea of a Leopard 2A8 being added. However, I have to admit that I dislike your argumentation. I feel that the demand for DM73 is a bit much.
1. The Leopard 2A8 has not yet been issued to the Bundeswehr. Yes, there are other nations that have already received vehicles they do not yet operate in-game. Nevertheless, in my opinion, this is still an argument against adding the 2A8.
2. As far as I know, the Bundeswehr does not use the DM73 either. Again, there are nations that have already received equipment they do not currently deploy.
3. In my opinion, there are other Leopard variants that should be added first, such as the Leopard 2A6A3 and the Leopard 2A7A1 (Trophy).
What I have difficulty with is your argument that the game originally was Russia vs. Germany and therefore needs to move back to that, or at least keep those two nations as the main focus. The game has expanded, and the three major nations are the US, Germany, and Russia, not only Germany and Russia simply because the game started with them.
Furthermore, you say that Germany should dominate matches. Why? From a game balance perspective, that makes little sense. You also say that the Leopard 2A7V is the only viable option in the German tech tree. It is not. The Leopard 2A6 is only slightly weaker, mainly lacking some armor and improved optics.
Don’t get me wrong. I like the idea of the Leopard 2A8 being added, and I would enjoy playing it. I just don’t agree with your argumentation or the arguments you use.

Its literally been the most OP and best performing Vehicle at Top Tier in the Game since it was added.
Germany got the Hummel
As other said already DM53 is the best APFSDS in the Game. The Leopards also have the best Gun in the Game with the L44 and L55.
Leopard 2A5, Leopard 2A6 and Leopard 2 PSO exist. Alongside the 2A7V, STRVs and M1A2 those are the strongest MBT in Game. The PSO would be better than the STRVs too if it had Spall Liner.

Not needed Germany already have tanks for that. Leopard 2 TVM min and max and 2a6EX demo 1 and demo 2 and then there’s 2 2a7+ so 🤷♀️
