They are making it and they have the Eurofighter which is one of the best 4th gen aircraft which is more then able to fight what would be needed of it
Eurofighter it’s a 4th gen fighter with the capacity of a 5th gen due to constant modernizations
Italy has Eurofighter and F-35, so in this aspect Germany is behind Italy.

Italian eurofighter dosent get the same upgrades and Systems as the German one together with germany using IRIS-T

Someone wrote that Italy is behind with the development of MBTs compared to Germany, I just pointed out that Germany is behind Italy which already has the F-35s.
Man i might be saying old info but i’m not saying nonsense, furina pretty much explained it, having your planes up and running is what matters specially if parts are available, having a few fancy planes up won’t help if you don’t have more helping each other in the airspace, also i’m not saying German aie military is the Best but i’m sure it’s not worse than italy
Italy is behind MBT’S and italy pointed out last year the need of an upgrade of their F35 Systems, meanwhile Germany keeps upgrading their eurofighter to fit modern standard both with Systems weaponry and technology
Italy also upgrades its Eurofighters, because if the Eurofighters are so good, does Germany also want the F-35s that Italy already has?

Right, so this is a chicken measuring contest. Neither him nor you were in the wrong, Italy factually is behind Germany in terms of MBT development (and they will never catch up since they’re pretty much giving on homegrown designs by purchasing the 2A8, not that they’d be able to catch up considering the enormous gap between the two countries in this department).
They barely upgrade them and Germany it’s more like getting forced into buying the F35 to carry nukes
It is a fact, however, that if the Ariete AMV were modeled properly (most notably the WAR and PSO kits) - the Ariete would be completely capable at top tier. Not quite as good as the Leopard 2A7V, but at least not too far behind in my eyes.
But they somehow massively gimped the Ariete, even though it should be far, far more capable than it is in-game. The weakest top tier MBT, and they somehow additionally felt the need to gimp it. Crazy.
