Leopard 2A8 gun depression

The fake email uses the old Gmail logo from before ~May 2026.

Therefore, I doubt this is a manually faked email and I’d rather say it’s AI.

Sure they could be using an older version of Gmail, but the general AI generated text and Logo just seal the deal for me.

Additionally, text like this just looks wrong.

The screenshot posted here doesn’t have the logo?

Found the original, you do have a point.

Edit:
Lol, nice “k” in the link text there.

i don’t think that’s a Leopard 2a8

Big if true

it’s very interesting how in this brochure, it states

Weight 61.5t - 64.3t

And yet, when making that bugreport, we only really touch upon the
-vertical elevation -7.4 up to 17.4 degrees

i’m not even gonna mention the Length and Width of the tank, that already was mentioned above, when concerning the brochure, and not only those

All in all, 2a8 came into the game way too early, that’s all i’m gonna say, it’d be a lot more easier to implement this tank, in like, 1-3 years, when more information would appear, meanwhile, there is a metric ton of other leopards that can still be added into the game, i am repeating myself, but leo 2a8 is simply here for the clout, and it’s not a very good thing.

in fact it is not, and this change is baseless and fundamentally wrong, like using a fridge manual to build a dishwasher

As I’ve pointed out to people a million times now, the weight is lower because the brochure lists the Active Protection System and mine protection as optional.

They are therefore excluded from the weight given and in that case, the weight makes sense.

What about the clear contradiction regarding brochures under Rules 2.2.2? Why are we intentionally ignoring Gaijin’s own sourcing policy here?

The weight of the trophy on the merkava tank, makes the tank go from 65 ton, to 65.5 ton, meaning a measly 500kg difference, i wonder, what’s so special about eurotrophy on the leopard, that the weight increases by like 2 tons ?

Btw is rws a part of said weight ?

Because if it is a part of said 61-64 tons, than, well, neither 7v nor a8, have rws mounted in our game, i wonder how much does that reduce the weight of the tank, considering the weight diff between 7v and 7hu is 1 ton, and all 7hu gets is rws and some roof armour

Can you link Rules 2.2.2

People have been using official brochures for literally years with zero issues.

To my knowledge gaijin just made up the weights for the Merkavas, they should really be changed to something more accurate.

On the M1A2 SEP V.3 the Trophy HV system is stated to weigh 5000lb, for context. However, the exact mass will differ based on a vehicles setup.

According to the datasheet from Leonardo for the Trophy HV system, it weighs 820 kg (~1800 lbs) with the M1 as an example image.

The US army source states 5000lb.

820kg is just the base weight of the system, it has to be adapted to different vehicles and that often adds extra weight. I believe the Abrams required additional ballast weight added to the turret to keep it balanced.

The vehicle images in these brochures are usually just placeholder, as is the case in the 2A8 brochure.

Even then, you would have to add ~1450 kg of other things, which is nearly double the weight of the base system additionally to its own weight. Neither counterweights nor other stuff (electronics, mounting points, etc.) could explain this discrepancy. I could understand it if they included other additional armorings in that number but like this it doesn’t really make any sense…

( Community Bug Reporting System )

And that guy is still there.

Kobes, there is a massive contradiction in how Section 2.2.2 was applied to nerf this vehicle.
Section 2.2.2 only grants permission for commercial brochures to be published and shared on the forum so players don’t get banned for posting them. However, Section 3 strictly states that to actually change game data or make a bug report, a document must qualify under Section 2.2.4 as an authoritative, certified source.
A promotional KNDS brochure is explicitly classified as ‘Marketing information’ under 2.2.2, meaning it is legally shareable but it does NOT belong to the valid technical sources listed in 2.2.4. The administration directly contradicted its own sourcing policy by accepting a marketing booklet as a definitive primary military source to issue a nerf. You cannot use a document as a balancing source when the rules clearly state it only has publication clearance.

You’re entirely misreading that. That states nothing about bug reporting.

Edit
To clarify.
Section 2 mentions which types of documents are okay to post. “However, Users are allowed to publish information or content that falls under any of the following categories:”

Section 3 mentions in what way you have to prove legality of material that could be restricted of classified. “If the User publishes documentation that may reasonably be deemed as Restricted […] the User must provide sufficient evidence that the information no longer falls within the scope of Restricted Information” , it then give the example of using a source from one of the listed items in 2.2.4 as proof of declassification.

For the brochure, they directly link to the manufacturer website (which is the first point in 2.2.4) where the brochure is publicly posted thus does not fall under restricted or classified material.

If you think it was accepted wrongly then you’ll need to talk to a Gaijin employee, I personally have been making reports for years and this has never been an issue though.

Also isnt this brochure not restricted information to begin with?
