That source is from 2024, so it’s not really that old. I find it hard to believe KNDS didn’t know the gun depression by then. Additionally, earlier sources from the 2A7 support the gun depression change, so it’s not exactly an outlier.
With the additional source, it’s almost certainly correct, so I don’t think I did anything wrong. I provided a valid primary source which gaijin accepted.

Yeah, true — an argument backed by sources is always gonna be more convincing than empty talk. Can’t help it, that’s just how it is — unless someone’s got stronger material to push back with.
It isn’t implied that they didn’t know, it is implied that whoever is responsible for managing website and broshures did a poor job, it is more than believeable scenario. Also issue with that broshure is complex, you need to consider that weight is also obviously wrong, other values, the imagery and text are reused from older broshure.

The weight isn’t necessarily wrong as the brochure lists the APS and mine protection as optional, if you remove these then the weight is fine.

I do agree that gaijin has issues with their bug reporting and balancing, and issues between the two, but I think this is not one of those cases.

You can’t be serious
It might ACCIDENTALY be close to actual weight (which it isn’t), but it doesn’t make it correct, and it definitely doesn’t save it from the fact that it is copy pasted number from the different model and configuration of tank.

I don’t really see the issue, these tanks are extremely similar in terms of specifications in real life…
At the end of the day in most regards the 2A8 is just a 2A7V with an APS

It made sense if you bothered to read it.

That is text from 2A8 broshure, this text is absent in the 2A7 one, yet the number is the same. Are you purpusefuly engaging in bad faith?

I dont see your point, the 2A7 and 2A7V don’t have roof protection, so yes the mass would be the same if you exclude the 2A8s roof protection
I know one clear mistake in the brochure, and that is the statement about winning “competitive trial” in Norway against the K2. Those doing the tests said it wasn’t a competition, and that it wouldn’t be decided a winner. They were just testing if both were good enough, and they were. Then it was up to the politician to decide which “good” tank they wanted, options being Leopard 2 or K2.

Why would broshure not include max. weight with roof armor included if it is already listed as range and not single number?
Also care to explain this?

because the range is likely empty to combat weight.
It doesn’t answer the question.

Yes because that specifically states that the APS and mine protection are included.
This isn’t rocket science.
So the broshure shows outdated info for the older model after all, good to know we finally cleared that.

No, it is an export brochure that gives a variety of options for customers and therefore lists many things as optional.
Once again, not difficult to understand.
Can we get the leopard 2a8 for Germany with a .50 cal and the Swedish version with lws, how do you fell about this?
