Depending on the cut off BR from which point you consider vehicles to be top tier, most russian MBT fall between obsolete and decent at best, only arguable point is where in the range they fall.

  • The T-80U/UK/U-E1 are all arguably decent at best, mostly overshadowed by far better nato MBTs at the same BR
  • T-72B3A is absolutely obsolete and should be 11.7. Not much to argue about with this one, most sane people agree.
  • T-90M and the Arena versions are among the bottom half of the 12.7 MBTs, they are borderline 12.3 level MBTs. Hell if I would follow my personal opinion I would even rank a lot of 12.0-12.3 above the T-90M.

T-80BVM is solid enough.

I don’t wanna be the guy that bitches and moans about Nato suffering, but imma keep it real, Nato is being well, somewhat dunked on, in order to keep the game properly balanced, i mean let’s be real here, we can’t just have an unpenetratable sepv3, or super crazy leopards, cause then literally ALL other tanks(challengers, soviet T series, chinese stuff, leclercs, arietes etc) everything just goes up in flame

Yes it makes absolutely no sense for 2a7v and 2a7hu to have THAT much worse of an armour profile than 20 year old strvs, but in fairness, the armour on them still works, rather quite good in my experience, and in general, it is still a very good tank.

Now, any armor holes and model quality issues are pretty damn intolerable, and i do hope some work gets put into fixing that

As for game balance in terms of line ups, well… looking at the win rates for germany/sweden at top tier lately, i think we can all expect at least some leopard buffs and perhaps a new vehicle or two, the latest update brought t90m arena and sepv3, so i hope we can get one of the many possible leopards into the german tree(and maybe italian although i don’t enjoy that), 2a5Dk, 2a6a3, 2a6EX, 2a6E, 2a6 Hel, regular 2a7, 2a7+ duel ops/urban ops. There is plenty to buff germany with, so let’s wait and see.

it kinda depends on angle cause like, if you are shooting from below or straight towards, yeah it will prolly nonpen, but the moment you are somewhat higher than a leo, that’s when i think it can feel so much worse than an abrams or something with similar logic behind an ufp, and to be fair, those additional composites on top of the super angled ufp

I think they should increase the angle of bouncing even further, but i’m not actually sure how much better it is in comparison to like base 2a6 without said composite screens

The people in here may not be putting their camera correctly to more properly showcase the ufp, but its not an impossible situation, those shots so like, id argue those composite screens could provide a bit better buff to chances of bouncing from said angled ufp

God I’m starting to hate Leopards. These tanks are definiton of word “Limitation”. The way they punish you for any kind of active playstyle…

Yes, playing with Leopards is extremely stressful; it feels artificially weakened. Even with a German lineup of 2a7v PSO and 2a6 crews, and a level 150 Ace, it barely saves me in the game. I can feel it; every shot causes the tank to be disabled on the battlefield, so you have to play with Leopards cautiously. That’s why I started playing with Russians. I play with T90, M Arena, M BMPTS, and T80, and none of their crews are full or even Ace level. I get kills very easily and enjoy it. So what I’m saying is that Leopard armor needs to be improved. Besides, it’s not as easy to see German players in the game as it used to be. Even with over 1500 hours of gameplay, I can feel this in the game; nobody should tell me it’s a matter of skill. Russian top tier tanks feel much easier to play and allow for more kills. You can enjoy the game and the win rate is high. When I play with leopards, it’s almost impossible to do this.

That was the match i played after thinking about if my experience is outdated. I had several of them, and i can drop some more moments, tho this were in the presumably very first one of those.
Thats what i usually get when i play Leopards, so as why i believe in their survivability

I started the game by playing as Germany, and if you’re talking about statistics, you seem to have ignored what I was saying. I was struggling to play Germans, leveling up my crew to level 150 with the Golden Eagle every time, and making them Aces. It’s not like that with the Russians; I just started a top-tier Russian vehicle, and if I wanted a lot of kills, I could just switch to them and kill them easily. because I liked the Leopards and my first experience was with Germany, and I wasted my time with the Leopards, trying to get the crew to Ace level and buy camouflage. If my first experience had been with the Russians, you would see Russian vehicle in the statistics instead of German cars, and you would see them in higher stats. Now, even with Russian vehicle, my crew’s Ace level is low, but it’s still easy to play.

Well i was at germans first and my old noobie seems to do fine with them as my current not-so-noobie does with US or USSR tho.

So what I’m trying to say is that Germany really needs to strengthen its lineup. I don’t feel this difficulty when I play with Russian cars. I have 1500 hours in the game, so I can experience it quite a bit.

Well depending on BR i may even agree, but as having touched most of the shit ingame i disagree in that it needs to get strengthen at top tier. It needs better players as its characteristics look cool to me. I suffer much less playing Leopards than T-90s and if we`re about feelings, i feel much safer and able to be aggressive with 2a6 than with T-90M

I’m not ignoring the comments that contradict what I’ve said. Perhaps you are deliberately trying to hinder the strengthening of the German team lineup.

Well they have 2a6 which is top tier Abrams - equivalent with longer reload but sturdier hull. And 2a7 + PSO. Plus best FnF SPAA. How is it bad in here, compared to what?

So they have a worse Abrams and an SPAA thats only good against fixed wing CAS that cant find the flare button. Sick stuff.

Compared to mainly the other 2 majors since they have a similar playerbase.
