It does though? We’re talking about basic geometrical accuracy of the model, whether it has all the finer details is irrelevant.

Yes.
Model kits (good quality brands anyways) are generally extremely accurate when it comes to those aspects, I’d bet more accurate than any video game models out there.

Generally WT’s 2A6s model is up there with my 1:35 Tamiya model, apart from lacking finer details (and generally being of “lower resolution”). The basic geometrical accuracy of both is on par for the most part… 2A7Vs on the other hand… yea, that one’s wrong all over when I’m comparing it to schematics of a plastic model, turret ring being completely off-position, neck guard being way too small etc.

Yes, and when comparing to the Tankograd books which have 2A6s (and 2A5s, since apart from the gun they’re identical) external schematics, i’d say it’s pretty much perfect.

Sure, i’d be able to forgive WT if these errors were non-importanct, but in this case those errors are the cause behind the enlargement, and in some cases, creation of weakpoints that are not present on older models (in case of the 2A7V).

the fact gaijin cant even fix the damage model of the challengers and have to redo them all over again says volumes on how bad the modeling has been in the past 5 years.
given how many new vehicles are launched each update i suspect they had to start outsourcing and the problems we see today are a cause of that.
another thing ive noticed is how old bugs that have been fixed in previous models reapear when a new model is launched because thay must have a model on file to copy paste and add new features before its launched.
Except that the gunners optics are way too large

I guess its important for Gajin to make the Leopard 2A7V mostly vulnerable to even 3bm42. So they decided for a new model with faulty armor values and lotsa armor holes. Making it worse than 30 year old STRV122’s.
