definitly nothing to do with the leopards 2 being the biggest exported modern tank and having the most information available where as a results its the easiest to add.

The state of the Leopard 2A4M is attrocious (right now)
There are several issues regarding the current implementation of the Leopard 2A4M understanding that it is not a finished vehicle and that the dev server is subject to change.

The visual model of the vehicle itself is incorrect. During the upgrades, the suspension was modified as Gaijin noted in the devblog, hoever, these modifications are not reflected in the game currently.

The vehicle currently does not have its spall liners which are located in the turret like on the Leopard 2A5. The only difference being the shape of the plates was altered to fit in the Leopard 2A4 turret and the roof plate was not installed. The following images display the textured pattern and the raised lip where cuts were made to accomodate the loaders station.

The vehicle has a hydraulic pump in the turret when it should be an all electric turret. (The second image detailing the upgrades of the 2A4M was made prior to the 2014-2016 upgrades that saw the TIS upgraded and the PERI R17A1 replaced with PERI R17A3L4)

The tanks radio station is located in front of the loaders position for some reason when it should be located to the rear of the crew commander. The radio currently sits where the coax ready bin is located.

The 2A4M on the dev server does not have a single historically accurate round. A standard ammunition load out would contain DM53A1 APFSDS-T, DM12A2, HEAT-MP-T, NM253 IMHE
I want this tank to be as accurate as possible so I really hope Gaijin improves it from the current state it is in.

Does the a4m use B-Tech or C-Tech? It only has 300KE on its hull which is too bad I wish it had C-Tech 410KE (the M1A1HC has 390KE) otherwise I’d go for the DM53

also a minor problem which is more visual than anything: the additional wedges twist up instead of hinging out when dead
would be able to get a photo if the dev server wasn’t so jank

only further proves that they really didn’t do their research for this tank, especially since this is is the first image that pops up when “2a4m armor wedge” is searched

B-texh would be my guess. From what i can see on the visual nodel on the dev server, its rightfully an older model 2A4 since it was hased on the 2A4NL.
I understand why they cant really do research on it as only 20 2A4Ms exist and yhey are rather spread out unfortunately.

Even so, the documentation on this variant and the regular 2A4 is numerous, and the differences are pretty large between them
If you have a source of reliable 2A4M info, ill happily take a look. I’ve done quite a bit of digging into the tank and personally it seems like information is highly elusive.
