only protection part is t-72a, the rest are top tier viable (gen 2 thermals and 12x gunner sight, turret turning a bit slow), only turms-t doesn’t have enough firepower, can’t say the same to moderna as the tapna is close to 3bm46. Not to mention they also retains their -6.22 gun depression so you have a lot of spots you can use to abuse that turret armor, so far they could reliably stops the m829/m829a1 so that turret cheek is pretty strong.

For its rating TURMS packs a great punch, top tier USSR actually is worse in terms of firepower at their ratings than Turms at theirs.
Problem with Turms is it lacks commodities. Its hard to play against modern MBTs because of its base downsides, and lack of armor makes it only worse.
Yeah, but it’s not THAT bad. yeah it has half a degree less gun depression then the T-80s… it also has gen-2 thermals, 3BM60 and contact-5, hell it’s only a bit worse then the T-72B3… and why that thing is 2 BR steps bellow the B3A, that is worse in most cases is mind blowing.
More that its lack of gun depression and reverse speed stop it exploiting its fire power and great thermals, 3bm42 is solid at that BR and it would play great as a “light tank” if not for the revers/depression issues
Also better ERA and that auto cannon is GOAT… I love it when a rat tank is hiding behind a building, so you shoot the main gun and they come rushing out to kill you on the reload…

It is, their firepower already peaked at 11.3 and did not get any better at 13.3, china is in similar situation until they received the m1a2, then their rounds also has greater shell velocities especially the long-barreled wz1001 having exceeds 1800ms instead of 1600ish from 3BM60, this greatly affects the shot accuracy especially trading shots with m1a2/leopard 2 where only the breech can be penned and it is a small area to hit, slower velocity means every time we miss by a few inches when they back off.
I still think the turms-t and 2A4 at worse should be .3 apart, one of them can see so much better, like half the maps the turm-t T can actually kill the 2A4 much easier than the other way around, also I am not going to pretend that 2A4 can trade shots with turms-t in hull down position, the dm33 cannot kill the t-72s from the turret, and driver hatch is way too hard to hit too

only in cqc, if 800-1000m then commander usually goes to valhalla first, then you likely wont be losing another crew (which means death), commander can stay dead but causing damage beyond that seems difficult, atleast base on my experience, and you can turn the turret slightly away like the maus trick between shots then you’ve got even more turret armor. Cqc both hull down t-series is gone case lol NATO have access to the forehead of t series while t-series has nothing to hit.
I was more making a joke, but lets be honest, positions where T-series tanks can play hulldown in a way that denies most weakspots while staying at range exceeding ranges of 800m at the same time are rare.
I also had TURMS tanking shots to the turret it shouldnt have, but I wouldnt contribute that to the reliability of TURMS turret.
ok so the vehicle is a t72a, russians rely fully on armor to work. The vehicle has no mobility and no armor in exchange for a dart everybody else gets and gen2 thermals, not worth higher than 10.3, even 10.0 would be acceptable
The moderna has the same turret except its seeing a lot of things that hits so much harder than what the turmt are seeing, so far I could tell it is reliable enough that I start to engage enemies without much hesitation, where in the same position like if I’m in a leo 2A4 I know I cannot afford to trade like when I did with t-72a, so we can already imagine how strong the turret are with t-64a/-t72a br, only problem is their zoom is so crap at 8x that make hull down sniping ineffective, if not seeing the numbers I don’t even know the chieftain mk10 ones are stronger or weaker in that respective br. Not to mention if you get further like >1000m, the turret is small enough that it take one longer to aim, which also means you will exposed yourself longer for the turms to do-what-ever-it-wants to you lol

I believe that with those decompression happening, .7 is also okay. We’ll see how`d that go tho, as Turms against ealier models may become strong enough to get up-brd
The modernas ERA in the turret face give ~95mm more protection then the T-72A with Contact-1… still the TURMs is facing 105mm DM-33 in a full down tier these days and that will pen anything but the turret cheeks
