Leopard 2 depression over the back

I just cannot believe that in combat the Leopard 2 would have the safety on so it doesn’t hit the engine deck. Can you believe in real combat they have an enemy at 4 o’clock and cannot shoot it because they somehow have the safety on? No way.

Spite nerf
Very sick

Gaijin: we don’t market any Leopard pack. Leopard player unworty

only leopard have this problem in game other nato mbts no… ap the gun barrel touches the hull this not fair… again selective nerf

Sadly Rheinmetall’s fault.
Blame Rheinmetall for being mean.

How would this be Rheinmetal’s fault? No way any other tank doesn’t have this kind of safety. So it’s just Gaijins fault as always.

blame gaijin for selectively implementing FCS restrictions.
if leo can have depression controls via FCS modelled, why dont carousel autoloading MBTs have their autoloader reload times be modelled to accomodate the traverse times and gun elevation times AND THE AUTOLOADER SPALL

not to mention, how pantsir and 2S6 can literally depress until their guns/missiles clip into the hull

Wouldn’t that also effect Chinese tanks as well then?

If gaijin does do that, then Chinese and Russian mains would complain about the unrealistic behavior of human loaders.
They could argue that, loading time of tanks with human loader should be increased when they are moving or Human loader are human and would eventually get tired and hence reload rate should increase as match progresses.

Besides those two point they could also argue about resetting of gun position after firing to reload with would affect few NATO (One of them would be leopard, hence nerfing it even more) and Japanese tanks (I think this would also effect Russian and Chinese tanks as well though)

It’s not selective. It’s been on Abrams since it was introduced.

“Selectively”?
If there are tanks in the game that doesn’t have the feature but should have it then you are free to report it, but to my knowledge most tanks do already have the same feature in-game.

irl operator might deactivate the FCS and the safe zone in the rear hemisphere is gone. Its possible to do emergency shots over your engine deck. Ofc you can.

Its also possible to activate manual failsafe mode and rotate the turren/gun elevation as you want with direct input, without restrictions.

Btw, in case you missed it. Leopard 2A6 made a new record. According to recent reports, a 2A6 tank destroyed russian T-72B3 over 5500m. Frontal duel situation. The old record was a 5100m shot during Gulf War.

Human loaders on many Nato MBTs are already to slow.
For Leo2 as example good loader can do it in 4sec

Would you rather they implement a fatigue mechanic instead then

Really as with a lot of things it depends on how Gaijin implements it.

Step by step history:
1)Leopard is pretty good on it’s own, but Leo 2A7 made it so soviets need to aim a little, sometimes.
2)Uh-oh, can’t do
3)Look through the bug report list
4)Find the most convenient looking nerf report and implement it.

Selective realism balancing.

isnt this already modelled,i thought it was

surely being slower than irl you mean

this isnt a hard requirement for manual loaders unlike carousel autoloaders

show me where abrams is restricted in gun depression (outside of engine deck angles)

please tell me if the gun phases through the flaps on the engine decks of tanks like MBT-2K, T-80UD and other T-80s

if i understand correctly, the FCS should elevate the gun to clear it of any of the tanks own obstacles that might damage the barrel

i dont even care much for the rear nerf of depression i think the side depression nerf is the bigger problem

If they can turn it off when needed it shouldn’t be on ingame at all or they should give us a button (which would be kinda stupid as a game mechanic really but atleast it would be realistic)
