I disagree. It’ll be just the same case as pzh 2000, an op vehicle very low in br. It’s just fine in 8.0. APDS shell is standard and post pen damage isn’t that bad either. You pen everything. Armor is useless at this br anyways. American teams suck at this br anyways so they’re not a problem. Russian tanks are easy to pen (T-10’s armor is also useless). Brits have their garbage apds and not know for armor either

Its a big difference whether you’ve got armor to withstand all these autocannon vehicles, which are spammed at these BRs. Thats the most servere weakness of the Leopard 1. It can be brrrrped by just everything, even AA vehicles from 6.0 BR range. Mind all these small cqc maps and you know whats wrong.
So it totally matters to have sufficient armor to be mostly safe from autocannons.
i would then guess that you dont either. You dont seem to crash parties with Turm 3 much better than i do. And i have ten times more matches with it.
According to US documents both M48 and M60 are capable of making follow up shots within 5s of firing the first round.
The Leopard 1 wouldn’t be any different than that.
Why can the Vickers MBT have a 5s reload but no other L7 armed tank with a spacious interior?
The armor of the Leopard is a joke.
All it has is firepower and mobility and the firepower is clearly not good enough to compete at 8.0.

The Leo is practically a light tank that gets completely demolished by IFVs or SPAA.
The only time the Leopard was outstanding when it’s mobility was unmatched.
It’s an unstabilized L7 at 8.0 with better than average mobility for armor worse than 6.7 medium tanks.
It’s like playing a Pz IV F2 with better mobility but you can only use APRC.
Might as well use the Panther II at 8.0.
Game balance decides reload. There is zero need to give these vehicles 5 second reloads.
To me 7.7 is to low. Because then it would consonantly be dominating 6.7, Is it good at where its at not really because no stabalizer and what not, but its not bad enough for 7.7 imho
It actually is slower and has the same engine. Though the MTCA is better (they recently nerfed the transmission of all OF-40 and Palmaria hulls).
Though I mean the OF-40 is basically a Leopard 1A3 at 8.0, and it is really good.

Yea it would crossmap snipe everyone, especially as it will never be facing a production turret tiger 2 which is the best armoured thing if 6.7. It’s nonsensical to have it so low

i mean it was orginally 7.7 it would be a good counter to other 7.7 super heavys honestly i prefer the first M60 at 8.0 over the leo 1 at 8.0

Im sorry but if your saying that’s the most armored thing at 6.7 you’ve never fought the Jagdtiger. But either way yeah it would absolutely waffle stomp 6.7 and even at 7.7 it’d still be good because if you can’t be seen or shot at a lot of tanks still sometimes rely on their armor. And from what I can tell it can take some shots (Experience from the A1A1 IDK about the 8.0 Leo).

not really its biggest advantage is range it would have a similar play style to M56 at 6.7 except its 7.7 with a 105 and there are few long range maps around these brs PZH2000 has better range performance aswell
either way a lot of WW2 heavys that rely on armor would get screwed over. and plus if it ANYTHING like the damn scorpion I’d stop playing 6.7 altogether
by what i mean it plays like scorpion is it goes to a good spot and camps using its speed but there are few due to no longrange
so its a shoot and scoot tank

generally if it defeats a tiger 2 the jagdtiger isnt gonna be any more of an issue. they are also slow as hell so easy to flank and spank
the L7 is simply too powerful to be 7.7 or lower unless it was on a really trash tank. charioteer or something
L77 APDS is pretty good.
