Description: The Astore is an Italian attack UAV developed and manufactured by the Italian company Leonardo. In the Falco Evo family, the Astore is the newest version and the only one that was ever armed. It was made after 2017, but its development and production remained secret; indeed, no pictures of the drone were ever released before this year. The only known picture was the rear of a Cirit missile after being launched from it, but it wasn’t clear if that was the Astore since no part of the drone was shown. But in 2023, the drone was finally shown, and its export and production data were partially revealed. The Astore is a small, light, and cheap light attack drone, equipped with a small radar for navigation and to detect enemy targets, as well as a pair of Turkish-made 70 mm laser-guided CIRITs (the same roket as the T129 in the game). The Astore was successfully exported to various countries, like Bangladesh. Yesterday (09/01/2024), the Italian magazine RID confirmed that after some parliamentary discussion, the Italian air force will receive a total of 4 Astore as a stop gap until 2025, when all Italian MQ9 Block 5 reapers will be upgraded and when the first EuroMale drone will start to be produced and delivered.
Why it should be in the game: if in future the devs will ever add more drones, this one could be a good possibility for the Italian tree at a lower br.
