The Dutch Leopards in French tech tree are purely fillers and since it was an idea I was opposite to it, but Leclercs shouldn’t be lowered based on your claims, I believe that the Leopard 2A5 and Leopard 2A6 are far inferior compared to the Leclerc S1 and Leclerc S2,

For instance why I think it shouldn’t be lowered at this current battle rating is:

The vehicle is in a hot spot where its armor could be way too much for lower battle rating vehicles at battle rating 11.7 range but at the same time questionable if it’s accurate or not for this current battle rating.

The Dutch Leopards has no better armor and firepower than the Leclercs, and specifically talking about the Leclerc, firepower isn’t, at least I believe, measured by singularly how much damage it can cause and how thick armor it can penetrate in a single shot, but how fast it can deliever this power.

And regarding armor is almost same-same or Leclerc has even better values, obviously the Leopard 2A5 and Leopard 2A6 has better armor layout but at the same time lighter armor layout, it retains the same armor values from the Leopard 2A4 chassis.

Sure, wouldn’t mind. The M1A1 HC and M1A2 SEP are literally better, at a lower BR. Might as well include the AZUR and S21, they’re not much different.

Yes it is
Easier spotting of enemies gives u the opportunity to shoot first which most of the time makes u win the engagmen
Also the abrams is allready mid compare to other 12.0 and now after the basket nerf its even worse
It does not need to go up in br

Its not. When it comes to spotting, one glowing white target is effectively the same as another slightly higher res glowing white target.

There’s diminishing returns for each jump in thermal gen.

I would rather they have excellent tracks like the M1, which would give Leclerc at least the advantage of maneuverability, rather than changing the BR. The tracks of Leclerc are really suck now.

There is alot of glowing things in your sight and in gen 1 its not that ez to spot hiding tanks when in gen 2 its way more clear
Gen 2 to gen 3 is small gap but gen 1 to gen 2 its big

Its usebale in some maps but for long distance map with alot of objects its not that usefull at least not like gen 2

Even the biggest war thunder maps aren’t nearly big enough for it to become an issue

I disagree and even if u can spot ppl if u go against gen 2 u are in disadvantge and he probably will spot u a bit earlier and this 0.5 sec is critical more so on a tank that get disabled no matter where u get hit

If you’re spotting later, its not because of the thermals

Sure, the HC/A2 reloads .3s slower, but it accelerates far better and has much more stable armor, especially around the turret. The Leclerc dumps its speed similarly to the Type 10 (Though not as bad), and has very poor acceleration. The Abrams more than makes up for that 5 km/h lost over the Leclerc in terms of armor, round, and acceleration, among other things.

Not a good enough reason for a different Br in my opinion.
Unlike Leopard 2A5 in comparison to Leopard 2A7 there is no major difference between the Leclerc variants that would matter in game.

Leopard 2A5 could be 11.7 or certain tanks like T-90M, T-80BVM, Leopard 2A7 and STRV-122+ could be moved up in Br but Leclerc is quite decent yet again with barely a difference between the variants as far as the game is concerned.

One could argue that the first Leclerc in the tech tree is the best since it is the lightest.

Better thermals as well as a thermal commander sight are nice but should not require a Br increase or decrease.
Up armoured sides and sights with some rubber pieces to go with it are lovely but barely worth the additional weight in War Thunder.

Just look at the Mirage 2000C S4/5 situation. Ridiculous.

Sure if we were talking about Leclerc covered in Russian sideskirts consisting of Kontakt-5 or better as they perform in game it would be a different story.
