Leaving battle early

I am fairly new to this game (Sep 2024). I started in Arcade, and now in Realistic only. Last battle, six players leave after 1st death.

What’s the point?

I left WoT Blitz for similar (neglecting) things, so I can leave this as I consider it a joke.

There should be a penalty for not using all resources and lives in a battle. I understand we can have many reasons for being forced to leave the battle, but not regularly, right?
Therefore, is a player keeps leaving battles after a 1st death too often, a penalty comes forward.

Why would I waste my time and nerves for those that make it obsolete?

I can only think of two reasons
-They only have one premium vehicle without backups for that tier
-They see the game is a loss and don’t want to waste time, spend money for repairs, or have a hit on their K+D ratio
I’m guilty of the latter. If I see 5 or more premiums, I’m usually out if it’s not going well.
I usually check player’s level to see if they’re above 70ish

if you’re willing to pay the repairs for their destroyed vehicles, then sure.

Third:

They’re doing a battlepass task that requires a specific vehicle and at a given BR range for their desired nation, there’s only 1 of that vehicle available and their second would likely be suffering some serious uptiering OR be non-viable (rank 2).

Or it’s a BP task that’s most efficiently done by suicidng into the enemy to maximize activity% and then go next battle to minimize the impact of out-of-control factors. “Win N games with minimum activity%” done properly: 50% win rate, 20 minute games - potentially 2 hours of gameplay when you wanna play other stuff. Done like a jerk: Spawn in, rush cap, shoot everything, die in 5-7 minutes and requeue and repeat. Potentially done in 30 minutes if statistics favour you for the 50% coin flip. Or it’s “Play N battles doing X”, so you do X and J out and go next.

I ended up giving up and just ignoring the BP at this point as it was ruining my enjoyment, but the way a lot of tasks are set-up heavily encourage 1-death (or even “J out after done, go next” so 0 death) leaving.

1dl is weak, people should combine 0dl because the game is so unbalanced sometimes.

I quit most matches I get into because the grind is so bad.
Ganjin wants it like this.

They give you special task every day that require very specific matches and then they don’t give that mode to you or they uptier you or give you a huge time wasting map so you just have to quit.

Save yourself 10 minutes of pointless respawn flights.

Your crew is locked, OH NO go do something productive for a few minutes.

If their task were less time consuming or they only gave task that can be completed in all matches, maybe I would be forced to quit less.

All against the team game concept. No matter the player base, a failure. Gonna say bye soon I guess.
No way I spend money here.
