thx
I need to test it, but Im assuming that once the missile goes active, it just becomes any other ARH missile and will be spoofed by chaff. Use to (and I think it still does) work with things like the Harrier. Though would not be surprised if Soviet missiles werent affected in the same way
if i hover above multipath with a heli the buk misses 90% of time
I think that could be because of tracking radar on telar
This would be true if there were no rotors that a going towards and away from the radar source at near supersonic speeds.
Absolutely.
It is a core change that has been needed for years. Forget ARH missiles or SAMs. It drives me nuts that I cant even locate a heli on my aircrafts radar, let alone potentially engage it with an SARH
There are already bubbles, for example MI28NM in certain positions can be hit, or closer to 2km if I’m not mistaken, what I think should be changed for sure is the multpath, helicopters should be hit even if they are flying low, unless they are really low to be able to avoid it.
Lmao helis without LDIRCM are just SPAA food
In reality, helicopter rotors produce a very distinct Doppler effect. However, in the game, helicopters only generate a Doppler return when they are moving. This causes active radar homing missiles used by split air defense units to miss helicopters almost entirely.
Not really, I have been using the Tiger UHT recently and even with the bad trayectory of the PARS is very useful in ground rb and sim. Ofc dont expect to be invincible as ldircm helis and know how to play with terrain and low altitude.
Now with the LMUR high kill rate and if gaijin decides to give top attack feature to spikes hellfires and pars they will be more powerful, even more than planes as now.
Ohhh and lets no talk about downtiers with only pantsirs and adats, more easier
they dont have realistic ones , sorry i word it poorly
