Latin American Ground Forces Tree

With what you comment you show that you did not even take the time to read the suggestion and realize that there are several indigenous vehicles mainly from Argentina and Brazil, tanks that were designed and built in the country, I think that more than anything you have some kind of hatred unjustified about all this. The tree itself was made with almost no copy/paste as it features vehicles either indigenous or too modified to be called copy/paste, you would know that if you had even bothered to read.

I’m not trying to hate on the idea of Latin American domestically produced vehicles coming into the game. They have some interesting vehicles to add, the only thing im thinking about is having more nations with the same tanks in any BR. When you log into a match and all but 2 people are driving KVT’s or T72 or what ever you know your about to have a bad match. If there is enough domestically produced vehicles to add i would love to see it added. If we are going to have top tier filled with Leo;s Abrams and T tanks it will get really boring playing against the same tanks.

I ground out the american ground and air and was getting bored. i started playing other nations and found having the more unique vehicles to play was really fun as i got to play something new. I have skipped some copy paste vehicles when i could. I just want to see a unique game play between each nation tree. I understand that there would be some copy due to military exports by other countries but if it can be reduced to make the domestically produced shine brighter, then i think it would be a lot more fun to have.

This is just my opinion really and is just that. Gaijin makes the ultimate decision if anything gets added to the game. If they see value and money to be made then they will make it happen. Just keep in mind, that a lot of the minor nations dont get played allot. Hell even the Israeli tree started off in the US tech tree before being made its own and you dont see a lot of Merkava tanks in the game.

Okay, I understand your perspective now, and surprisingly I even kinda agree with you.

The problem you talk about isn’t necessarily and exclusively just copy-pastes, but Gaijin’s business practises. You see a lot of M1 KVTs or T-72AVs because they are premium tanks, and given that grinding is a long and exhausting process, Gaijin just knows everyone will buy them. Especially when said top tier premium tank is in a tree that is filled with ACTUAL copy-pastes across the earlier ranks, like in the Chinese tree.

I respect your opinion, and I promise that we did our best to have a very interesting tree with the least amount of copy-pastes, only relegating to the latter when it’s really needed (i.e the M5A1 Stuart and M3A3 Lee at 2.7, to form a good lineup there). This tree isn’t made simply for having a tank in a different flag, but to show all the potential, uniqueness and capabilities the Latin American countries have shown and still are showing when it comes to military vehicles.

Cheers.

It was a lot of work and defiantly respect you for putting in the time to put these together. I started looking up the domestic tanks and a lot of them never made it past prototype ( well mid to late tier stuff at least ) however thats not stopped them from putting them in the game. They seem to put more of those kinds of vehicles in events and battle pass stuff. Would really love to see some of these tanks added. If they do add them and they do get enough popularity who know they could get their own tech tree. See you around the battlefield Cheers!

I don’t need to expose anything that wasn’t already exposed at the beginning of this thread. It’s just that you didn’t even read it.

If I were to go by my personal intentions, I would put Argentine planes in the German TT, where I already have 9 slots with maximum air-land and sea crew.

greetings

Then you are not looking at the matter objectively and are letting yourself be carried away by your personal preferences.

This TT adapts in every way to the way Gaijin implements new nations. The only novelty is its regional dimension but since there are not many nations left capable of standing on their own and being competitive at the same time, I suppose Gaijin will have to start thinking about other possibilities, so this is a suggestion.

I think there is left the Panhard Lynx ERC 90 6x6 of the “Heroico Colegio Militar” from México…

Tell me more about it. Normally I’d rule it out, but if there’s a story behind it we could consider it as a “hero tank”.

Yes, you have a video on YouTube. A lot of copy paste, waste of time. We don’t need that

That video was made by a person outside the project, so it omitted the most unique and interesting airplanes. The Latam aerial tree will be published soon, which is totally different from that video.

This is incredible, I love Latin America and having it in my favorite game is something incredible. I hope there is an aviation tech tree in the future too.

There will be an aviation tree soon! It should come out in the next weeks, stay tuned! Thanks for the support!

Thank you for allowing me to be part of the Latam project.

To commemorate this I wrote a song*:

Several tanks, forbidden from one another
Nations divides their armored vehicles
And forumists divide them apart
Built a Latam tech-tree to be together
(…Yeah, and I forget the next couple of lines, but then it goes…)
Secret project!
Secret project!
Through the forum!
Secret, secret, secret, secret project!"

Did you get it? :P

For the first time I see the Latin American community striving for something.
Don’t take my comment the wrong way, I’m Brazilian, but it’s very difficult to see this huge participation in a Latin American suggestion.

So the Mexican ERC-90 is a French-made Panhard ERC-90 Lynx F1 (Uses the same Hispano-Suiza 90mm turret as the Panhard AML) bought for the Mexican Army, as far as i know is the same specifications as the original french made vehicle (except for probably some tweaks on the transmission and the motor itself) it would be useful as a 7.3-7.7 TD maybe even folded with the EE-3, or alternatively as a 7.7 LT moving the EE-17 as a TD (i think this would be better since the 105 mm gun on the EE-17 is far better suited as a TD, together with the smaller profile of the ERC)

Another Mexican vehicle worth adding is the DNC-1, another french-made vahicle, this time being an AMX-VCI M-56 but chaging the 20mm autocannon for a 30mm one, it could be either a LT or an SPAA on 2.0-3.0 (i think it would be better suited folded with the M35 or as a standalone premium SPAAG/LT)

It would also be nice to see the DN-IV foldered with the DN-V (the only difference is the 20mm to 30mm turret) as other TT already have vehicles with minor changes folded together

And finally but not least, the Panhard VCR-AT another french-made vehicle, this time an APC equiped with the Euromissle HOT and an M2 Browning, this could also be added as a TD on 8.7 (or in 8.3 between the Escorpión and the Piraña 6x6) with a comparable performance to the Chinese CM25 (with the same configuration of TOW+M2)

I would just say that the final TT should have some of this vehicles folded as some of this vehicles are redundant (in the sense that having 2 similar vehicles required to unlock would make the TT feel artificially expanded just for the sake of it), other than that, is an amazing work you guys have done. I can’t wait for you guys to post the other planned TT for air and naval, is there any discord server or link where we could see more of the progress?

I was about to say I thought it was real but just noticed the most obvious fact that the TAM 2C’s new sights are missing. I think you’re right then.

Also, what about adding a couple Portuguese tanks to the tree? There are some options, and Portugal allows there to be another 11.7 vehicle (Leopard 2A6) alongside the Centauro II. Obviously Portugal isn’t Latin American, but perhaps it has enough ties to justify it?

Either way, I know of these options:

Leopard 2A6

Bravia Chaimite V-400 (75mm)

chaimite_v400_1_197

Bravia Chaimite V-400 (90mm GIAT)

chaimite_v400_2_528

Bravia Chaimite V-400 (90mm Cockerill)

Pandur II

Or I guess Portugal could go with Spain, which previously I would have said should go with Italy but now they’ve got Hungary (and maybe Romania), so I’m not too sure where they would go.

Portugal is a good option for a sub-tree, I did a tech tree mockup a while ago in collaboration with Azazel_Hades for Brazilian tree with Portuguese sub-tree in it. Here’s how it looks if you’re interested. Brazil Ground Tech Tree (Portugal Sub-tree)
