Where is the guarani RBS 70? Also, Happy new year!!

Also you could also add the new Colombian’s Barak MX.

Good question. Somehow I had figured it wouldn’t be much use since it doesn’t have a tracking radar (only a search radar on a separate vehicle), but now I realized that IR tracking optics exist. My mistake lol. I’ll add it.
Interesting… but I think that to be added to the game, it needs to be self-propelled. Unless Gaijin decides to add placeable static AA for the player.
PS: btw Brazil is also working towards the acquisition of the EMADS as well. So we’ll have a couple of good options for top tier SPAAs.
Well the Israelis and other operators have the radar and the launchers set on a truck, so they are mobile, not stationary. About the type of trucks colombia will use with this system no idea

In what BR do you think it would fit?
That depends a lot on how Gaijin would implement it.
If the Guarani (RBS-70) is added in the form of the launcher vehicle only (so no radar), it’d perform similarly to the Lvrbv 701 (or a bit better, since 3 missiles ready to fire instead of 1) which is 9.7.
If added in the form of a “fleet” (radar vehicle and two launcher vehicles) but only one launcher vehicle can engage a target at a time (and manually by the player), it’d perform similarly to the ASRAD-R which is 10.3. The radar would tell you where a target is and you’d perform the IRST tracking by yourself with one of the launcher vehicles and conduct the missile towards the target. The second launcher vehicle would stay idle, working more as a spare vehicle to use when the first one is reloading or is destroyed.
Those two options above would work with the mechanics already developed by Gaijin, but there’s a third option that would involve a slightly modified mechanic from the “fleet” form: The radar vehicle would point the targets to the launcher vehicles, and those would independently do their own IRST tracking without manual input by the player. As such, you’d also be able to engage up to two different targets at the same time, as long as their IRST tracking is kept. This would make it worthy of 10.7 or even 11.0 (you can’t go much higher than that because the missiles have limited range and IRST tracking only gets you so far).
PS: Gaijin can also do the same as they did with the Type 81 (C) Tan-SAM Kai and add the Guarani (RBS-70) in two forms and fill two BRs that way.
+1 we need this in wt
gaijin should already start working on this ASAP. they have both an air tree and a ground tree, both with very well picked premiums, a little bite of copypaste to avoid some extra work, and even then a lot of chassis are reused from other nations.
The only hard parts would making a flag to show next to other nations while on the hangar and of course modeling all different munitions, vehicles and making a new shade of green or brown to add to copypaste.
Also I feel like we need decals
It’s like the garford
Gaijin already solved this problem by letting the player choose the flag and country name to represent the tree the vehicle is in. This basically paves the way to coalition trees without the need to create a special flag for them.
What’s the general opinion on this thing?
The CBLR 20(I just made that up tbh, there’s no official designation as far as I know) or Carro Blindado Ligero de Reconomiento is a modified M8 from the Mexican army it features:
• new engine
• modified hull
• 20mm GIAT dual feed(? cannon
• coax consists of a 7.62 mg or a .50 cal mg according to some reports
• armor 3-19mm
• 4 crew
• don’t know about if it has a stabilizer
Maybe it could work like your average scout car like the Type 87 rcv
Depends if it has APDS rounds or other modern tecnology.
If not it may go to a very low rank, where you dont even have scout hability.
I left it out in favor of the DN-V Toro, which is a more unique option imo.
If you search a bit you quickly find a lot of vehicle options from Latin American countries that feature a 20mm autocannon or a 90mm low pressure cannon. Adding all of them would mean bloating the tree with what are basically sidegrades at best, so we have to focus on the more unique ones.
Now that EMADS has been officially selected by Brazil as its newest medium-range air defense system, it can already be added to the tech tree
