Latin American Ground Forces Tree

Oh now I see it. SPG 6.7.

Didnt saw it before

6.7 for a vehicle with TOW? I’m not sure about that one.

It says 6.7 in the photo.

Anyway those br are outdated bc they are expanding the top br.

It should be 7.7 imo, only 5 tow ammo plus bad armor.

It’s just standard TOW right? Not I-TOW or TOW-2? Even then, 7.7 seems too low. TOW M113 has bad armor, larger profile, and launcher can’t even rotate 360°. Also, with the addition of ammo boxes, ammo count doesn’t matter too much anymore.

Standar TOW 1 A/B

BGM-71 A/B TOW has 430mm pen without tandem.

Rajpz 2 with HOT its 8.3 with better atgm and platform. So maybe 8.0 max.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, guys. When the tech tree (as it is currently) was made the ammo box feature was not a thing, and we heavily considered this ammo count handicap when choosing the BR. And yes, it is limited to just the standard TOW with 430mm of penetration. No access to I-TOW or TOW-2 (though Gaijin could just give it the I-TOW as well).

I shall update it to make it 7.7 or 8.0. I’m inclined to make it 7.7 because the Pvbrv 551 is better (has I-TOW and TOW-2) and is 8.0.

What about my causa vehicles

You mean the vehicles you suggested? Some of them are also already in the tree (both AMX-13 Alacrán vehicles). As for the rest, I think there are better alternatives already in the tree, so I don’t wanna end up bloating it. It’s good that you posted them here though, so Gaijin acknowledges their existance.

Aw okay I understand.

Idk if this counts, but Peru tested the T-90S in 2013. In the “Cruz de Hueso” shooting range, south of Lima. Later it got discarded because the army was looking for something more modernish (and we got stuck with the old ass t55 til today 2025 when we signed to adquire k2 tanks)

Also the chinese MBT-2000, used by peruvian crew during the 2009 parade (didnt buy it after all).

Argentine is already in Germany with the few unique options it has to avoid too much copy paste. Some of the South American nations with the few unique vehicles they have could easily go to US as filler, like Brazil and that makes sense geopolitically too.

17k voters really does seem a lot but content creators easily can abuse their voice for something like this if it’s true they’ve brought attention here.

Argentina is not a subtree for Germany. Switzerland is it. Germany also has some of their own designs that can be added to replace the TAM tanks.

Exactly. VEIO_da_HAVAN already talked about this. We (Latin American community) got together to make this happen and we had help from a couple of content creators to spread the word, but nobody forced anyone to vote in favor of this proposal.

Besides, asking for support from content creators’ viewers only gets you so far, as the hype later dies down. Still, we managed to maintain 97% approval many months after the content creators made their videos about this.

It is a good idea to be honest I tried it my self on a smaller scale and it worked pretty decently for my follower account on TT, it’s a pretty smart way to get the community’s attention to something as not everyone sits on the forums

We also spread the word about this proposal on reddit, and actually got plenty of viewers off of that. And we all know how the reddit community is very “diverse” (to put it lightly) about their own opinions, yet again we still managed to keep a very high approval.

Reddit community having a high approval of a tech tree like this? I’m amazed

Yes. Take a look: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1aeln39/1000_votes_in_less_than_48_hours_what_do_you/?sort=new

It was the top 1 post on the WT reddit back then. Lots of exposure came from it.

you sound ridiculous from A to Z

You are talking to the one user that insists that South Korea should be a subtree of Japan despite the fact that not only that everybody else completely rubbished it and every “argument” for it but also Gaijin themselves explicitly stated that both Koreas will be their separate TT some time in the future in a dev Q&A. While simultaneously rubbishing other TT & subtree proposals (even popular ones) with terrible arguments. Even if he points out a legitimate issue with the game or with the current state of TT’s, he’s largely doing it for the wrong reasons.

I would not take him too seriously because of that

I almost forgor :skull:

Here it is:

I’ll later make a list of all changes, but to summarize:

  • Added Leopard 2A4CHL (Proaco) as one of LATAM’s top tier tanks. This “Proaco” name is a reference to the undergoing modernization that Chile is doing to their Leo 2A4CHL tanks. So far it received new and modern optronics, but with Peru working towards the acquisition of a new MBT, it is likely that it’ll also receive upgrades in armor. It should also be given the DM53/DM63 as its top shell (which Chile is rumoured to use).
  • Added the K2PE Black Panther (or maybe we should start calling it “Pantera Negra” soon…) as the other top tier option. With all the news throughout 2025 about Peru looking to acquire the K2, I think it’s safe to assume they really are gonna buy it this time. Some banners in SITDEF 2025 labelled it as being “K2PE” instead of just “K2”, but it’s unknown if there will be any Peruvian modifications to it.
  • Added NASAMS 2 and Buk-M2EK as LATAM’s top tier SPAA vehicles. The way things are going, we may have to add Venezuela’s S-300VM…
  • Added the CV90120-T as the top tier light tank for LATAM. Brazil has trialed it, and could very much use another 12.0 to go alongside the Centauro II BR.
  • Added the MBT-2000 as a premium tank for LATAM. It’s a very capable tank and well-suited to be LATAM’s “top premium” tank (a standard that is followed in pretty much every tree, with a premium tank at 11.7 or 12.0).
  • Added the T-90S as an event tank, strenghtening 10.7 and 11.0 lineups. Basically the same as the Bhishma TWMP.
  • Lots of BR and tier rearrangements, especially making so that each line has a limit of 3 obligatory vehicles per rank (the excess being foldered).

Happy 2026!
