this is so disrespectful.

Are you only going to update the LATAM suggestion around 2026?
Oh? It’s a waste of time.
The devs don’t give a sh*t about the LATAM community. Don’t waste your time here.
No, it’ll be in 2025 still. It’s just that I’ve been busy with my university thesis lately. In our discord you can check the wip updated tree in the #tank-discussion chat, if you’re curious.
Even if they don’t care about the LATAM community, I still really want to see, at least in theory, what an updated LATAM tree would look like and of course keep supporting it, even if it’s considered a waste of time
I don’t think that is true. On the contrary, I think they are already working towards something (I’ll elaborate on that down below).
The main thing you need to consider when thinking about all this is that adding a whole new tree to the game takes a lot of time (like 2-3 years or so). I believe the reason you’re upset and hopeless about this is Gaijin’s rather recent announcement of a tree for the Koreas, but you must be reminded that it had been requested by the community long before the LATAM tree, so it’s arriving just in time actually.
Now let’s look back at some of the things Gaijin has done for us since the creation of this forum post:
- Moments of Valor Argentina;
- Moments of Valor Brazil;
- AMX A-1A premium for Italy;
- Kfir C.10 event for Israel;
- Su-30MK2 premium for Russia;
- MB-326K premium for Italy (this one is a stretch, but it can lead to the addition of other variants used by Argentina and Brazil);
- Forum Staff denied Argentina as being subtree of Germany, later adding Switzerland as a replacement;
- Forum Staff denied the addition of Latin American countries (mainly Chile) as subtrees to Israel, announcing Greece and Cyprus as a replacement.
These last two points are arguably the most important ones. To me, it shows that Gaijin is saving Latin American countries like Argentina and Chile (part of the “big 3” of LATAM) for something else. I wonder what for… :D
Overall these points also indicate they are prioritizing the build-up of assets for a LATAM air tree first, which follows the same fashion of when they added France, Israel, Sweden etc. An air tree can work on its own for air battles, while a tank tree relies on close air support for mixed battles, so it all makes sense.
Either all that, or I’m overdosing on hopium. :D
