I hope you consider this idea very seriously because it is very good. As a contribution, I would like BHmaster and his team to have also considered the vehicles: LAV III operated by Colombia that is not yet in the game, as well as Aymara 2000 A1, PTRC-2005, Joya SAA 1, HUNTER TR-12/XL and VRC Cobra of 100% Colombian production.

Salvadoran AML-90 (7,7)

In addition to the common mounting of 37mm and 23mm twin turrets on BTR-60s, Cuba also had a more obscure conversion with with the twin 30mm turret of the M53/59. (I’m assuming that Cuba bought towed versions of the turret, since otherwise why not just leave them on the Praga truck?) These seem to be the only photos circulating online of this vehicle, one of them very low-quality.

Oh and also a BTR-60 with what appears to be a Czech STROP turret (no idea how the Cubans even got that), minus the Strela launchers on the sides. But it’s still one of the guns from the Tunguska and Panstir plus a radar.

The STROP one is a fake

Well that’s unfortunate. I really liked it.

I mean there is always the original STROP if you’re interested

You can confirm this?

The original one is in color. It was made by one person in Tank Encyclopedia community. Besides think about it logically. How could Cuba get their hands on a turret from a Czechoslovak prototype vehicle and why would they put it on a shitty BTR-60?

I’m guessing this article took it from the original photoshopper and claimed it as real? I do still feel like the cannon resembles the Model 80 more than the 2A38 the STROP II uses.

I just assumed it was some sort of Eastern European creation and the misidentification of it as a Cuban vehicle was due to the hull cutout resembling the Cuban BTR-60-30.

Happens to the best of us bud.

The first images of a modernized turret of a Leopard 2A4CHL, you can see the additional armor and other systems
