Cascavel MX8 (modernization proposed by Equitron with thermal and double lauched atgms systems)
or the Cascavel EE-9M (Spike ATGM, thermals, new engine) which is a current modernization that is literally happening, at least THIS one couldn’t be missed:
Regarding this, so the Guarani Torc-30 never seems to have been built, the image of it seems to be a photoshop, thats why we prefered with the Cascavel option.
With regard to the Urutu AA (which also has a Cascavel variant), is simply that we didnt know how much ammo it has. I personaly asked Expedito Carlos Stephani Bastos (leading expert on Brazil AFVs) he did not know either. We eventually went for Chapperal instead, but a revision could be done if we consider part of the troop compartment to store Piranhas.
With regards to the Cascavel modernizations. The MX-8 technically only has mock up ATGM tubes, so for that reason we discounted it as it simply doesnt offer any real advantage ingame wise over say the EE-9 M4.
We do want to add EE-9NG (EE-9M), but it hasnt been armed with the Spike LR2s yet. We wanted to wait for the prototype to be revealed before adding it, should hopefully be presented withing 4 months.
Good morning, afternoon or evening, depending on your time zone, I would like this idea to be implemented in the game and, although there is a lot of copy and paste, I would like to add a branch for airplanes.
In the case of my country (Peru), I would like to see planes that have not been implemented in the game and that could be good as part of the Latin American air branch, I hope to be taken into account, thank you very much for your attention in advance, here some contributions with some other data that is blissfully of the specific aircraft:
North American P-64 (NA-50A “Torito” in Peru):
Not in the game
Role: Fighter
Crew: One
Armament: Browning M1919 de 7,62 mm (x2)
Caproni Ca.310:
Not in the game
Role: Ground attacker
Crew: Three
Maximum speed: 365 km/h
Cruise speed: 285-312 km/h
Armament: Breda-SAFAT de 7,70 mm (x3)
Bombs: Up to 450 kg of bombs
Northrop A-17 (Model 8A-3P in Peru):
Not in the game
Role: Ground attacker
Crew: Two (pilot and gunner)
Maximum speed: 332 km/h
Cruise speed: 274 km/h
Ascent rate: 6.9 m/s
Armament: 7.62 mm Browning M1919 firing forward (x4), 7.62 mm machine gun on flexible mount in the rear of the cockpit (x1)
Bombs: Internal bomb bay and external wing supports (with a total load of 544 kg)
Vought O2U Corsair (V-80P in Peru):
Role: Naval
Crew: Two (pilot and gunner)
Maximum speed: 269 km/h at sea level
Armament: 7.62 mm (.30 caliber) Browning M1919 machine guns (x3), one in the front, and two on a flexible mount in the rear seat
I hope it helps, I know more about the airplanes that Peru used and currently uses. If you are interested let me know and I will contribute everything I can to develop the air branch of this proposal. I wish you good luck in your project.
Thank you for the support! We are still working on our air tree, so please be patient! I’ll give you a bit of a spoiler though, we did include the NA-50 and the 8A-3P, as well as a few other planes used by Peru!
they will fit perfectly in the tech tree, they’re modifications of already existing planes but these planes sadly arent in the game so it will give the tech tree some unique early vehicles to start with.
I don’t know if it has been discussed before, but the Leopard 2 Mid-Life Upgrade by RUAG was offered to Chile as an upgrade to its Leo 2A4CHLs. Perhaps it could be an option to reinforce LatAm’s lacking top tier?
thats an option, or the Leopard 2 Revolution, or the Leopard 2 NG Aselsan, this last one being the most possible option, FAMAE was even looking for the option of upgrading the Leopard 1 with the Hitfact Mk II turret, and they want to upgrade the Marder 1A3, Chile is doing the Proaco project
Going through an old photo album I found this photo of one of the rare examples of the X1A2 that is preserved in the cavalry regiment here in my city.
Disregard my presence in the photo.
well, I wont get bottered If we get a neutral spanish for our countries and maybe that will happend, its difficult to get all the ascents of a region and they will had to choose wich vehicle will recive wich crew voice, for example here we have urutus and cascavels like colombia and brazil as well, the question is, wich crew voice will be added to that vehicles?, maybe brazilian because it’s their origin country, I dont know, but this dont get my ilussion away, I definetly love to hear the ascent we have in guayaquil or quito, maybe certain vehicles like a specific modification for that country (like the amx 13 105 from Ecuador) will recive its corresponding crew voice
