If there is Israel that has few of its own vehicles, only modified existing vehicles and the merkava, I believe it is possible to have this tech tree
LATAM FLAG
Excellent post full of vehicles I had never heard of, well done. I think I would like this more than any other tree suggestion. Assuming copy-paste is ONLY used to fill gaps/be premium grinders, this could be one of the most fun and filled out trees in the game.
Since War Thunder will have the first “coalition” subtree, now it’s more possible to have latinoamerica as its own nation, please keep sharing the suggestion
One thing:
There was a plan for the TAM VCLM (Vehiculo de Combate Lanza Misiles), a TAM capable of doing anti-air missions
Equiped with Roland missiles, bit the same as Marder 1A2 Roland served in the Brazilian Army but the project was canceled
Regarding the TAM VCLM, what happens is that it was little more than an idea.
According to other collaborators on this project, at the end of the 1980s the plans for the German Marder Roland were requested to make an Argentine version of it. And Argentine “Halcón” missiles were being considered as a replacement for the German missiles.
But, as evidenced by the lack of documentation, it did not even reach the preliminary draft stage, perhaps it did not even reach the drawing board. If we are rigorous, it would not be a valid option.
If we loosen the rope a little, I would love to see an Argentine version of it!
It’s quite sad the lack of documents about this idea of the VLCM, only data can be founded in forums, btw, i would love to see this tbh!
Well, technically it’s still the French tree with some subtrees added to it now. France still remains the main nation in that tree, and it’s shown in all the branches (air, sea, land). Same for the Swedish tree.
The LATAM tree is different because there’s no “main nation” exactly. Each of the ABC (Argentina, Brazil and Chile) countries could be candidates to be the leading nation, but it’s such an unfair thing to do to the other countries in this tree. Argentina lacks in bottom and top tiers for tanks, Brazil lacks in ships and boats overall, Chile lacks in mid tier planes, and all those 3 lack in top tier helicopters (with maybe an exception for Chile, but it’s a stretch imo) and mid tier fast torpedo boats (in these last two, the tree is neatly complemented by minor LATAM countries such as Colombia and Cuba).
The TL;DR is that this tree only works as a true coalition, with close cooperation between all countries involved, instead of all following a “leading country”.
I’m brazilian and I still against it. This “coalition” tree is not a good thing. A sub tree? Ok. A whole tech tree that NEED a lot of countries just to exist is a weird idea.
it will depend on gaijin, implementing a LATAM tree can give new profits and new Latin players, but LATAM can also help some trees that are not good like Israel, with the entry of BENELUX now anything can happen
yes
can also add the [9P133] peruvian light rec and anti tank, and the [K808]
Premium rank 6
It was in my plans to add that SPAA, but we could never figure out the breed of that dog for its possible implementation in the game… :(
Lmao, jokes aside, we have very little information on it. We couldnt figure out the truck it’s mounted on, but from what I recall it uses one of the earliest versions of the Oerlikon 20mms such as the Oerlikon S, or an even earlier SEMAG L (later Oerlikon Type L).
After doing a reverse image search, I did find more Facebook posts featuring this vehicle, although most weren’t necessarily regarding it.
I did, however, find a post in which a commenter stated that “The piece shown is an Oerlikon Type K, also called Type ZL. They are 2 Oerlikon type L pieces mounted on a LePrieur CAD pedestal.”
As for the truck itself I can’t offer any of my own ideas, but I do think it shares some similarities with Tank Encyclopedia’s rendition of a Bolivian Dodge, although the presence of a second side window makes me doubt that these are the same vehicle.
with BENELUX already in the game, gaijin should experiment with a coalition tree i mean we have israel which is just renamed british, american and soviet vehicles and aircrafts.
needs to be BR 10.0 for obivios reasons
What about new vehicles like the Scimitar and Scorpion? Honduras operates those.
Brazil restored one of its old Roland Launchers to working condition that was an exhibit piece.

Unmodified (as far as I know), so we ignored them in favor of more unique options.
Yep, also I didn’t know what was the Brazilian Army designation for it, but a news page in portuguese presented it: “VBC L Msl Marder”. I’ll later rename it in the tree, together with the renaming of the Centauro II and some other tweaks.
How about those for the country that invented them?
