Lack of Distinction Between Arcade and Realistic Battles: Ammunition Resupply Mechanism Needs Adjustment

This is a plea to all arcade gamers, and I see others have similar thoughts! Could an administrator please forward this feedback to the developers? Quite a few players are experiencing this issue.

Issue Description and Suggestions

Lack of Distinction Between Arcade and Realistic Battles: Ammunition Resupply Mechanism Needs Adjustment
Currently, in Arcade Battles, ammunition boxes can only be used once per match, making Arcade Battles nearly indistinguishable from Realistic Battles.
Suggestion: Arcade Battles should emphasize their “entertainment-oriented” nature; therefore, ammunition boxes should reset to usable status each time a vehicle respawns.
Casual players in Arcade Battles prefer abundant ammunition for a more enjoyable experience. Restricting ammunition usage contradicts the core design philosophy of the Arcade mode.

Issues with the Missile Mechanism for Light Tanks
In Arcade Battles, light tanks that rely on missile-based combat are severely impacted because they cannot resupply ammunition boxes during the match.
The recent changes that removed the cooldown-and-reload mechanism for missiles further reduce their functionality, making the gameplay experience of these vehicles almost identical to that of Realistic Battles.
Note: The previous cooldown-and-reload mechanism had a significantly longer duration compared to the resupply time of ammunition boxes. The resupply from ammunition boxes was much faster, whereas the cooldown-and-reload process was slower. Players familiar with the Arcade mode would recognize that, for missile vehicles, the resupply time within the capture zone and the cooldown-and-reload time were entirely different.
Suggestion: Restore the previous cooldown-and-reload mechanism for missiles to preserve the entertainment-focused identity of Arcade Battles.
The essence of Arcade Battles lies in being “relaxed” and “exciting,” and the cooldown-and-reload system for missile vehicles provides continuous combat fun, which should not be weakened to the level of Realistic Battles.

Core Appeal: More Ammo, More Fun!
The goal of Arcade Battles is to offer a significantly different experience from Realistic Battles and provide players with a more thrilling and carefree combat experience.
The current changes limit player options and diminish enjoyment, especially for vehicles equipped with missiles (notably light tanks).
We hope the development team will consider this feedback and improve the ammunition system in Arcade Battles to better align with its core focus on “fun” and its distinction from Realistic Battles.

As an arcade player I think the ammo boxes should just be removed and be a realistic feature only.
There’s absolutely no need for this. It doesn’t really add anything needed and only promotes camping

I just had my first go in the Gepard A2 since the introduction of ammo boxes and noticed a few changes, not sure if they’re in the change logs. Before this update, when I had fired four missiles the racks would reload by itself for (I think) two, maybe three times. Now, they don’t.

While I can deploy an ammo box, it will reload one set of four missiles. That’s it. Having an extra load of gun ammo is nice - the rearm icons are usually in a place where I have at best a few second before being shot to pieces - I’m not sure that the Gepard A2 as such is actually benefitting as a whole. I get more gun ammo, less missiles than before. Since my usual minimum goal is a score of 1500 (minimum) during the match and it’s impossible to get this with the maximum of 22 planes to shoot down, I need the gun ammo to collect either kill assists or direct kills.

In the round of ground assault at Mozdok I just played I could actually deploy a second ammo box, but it didn’t give missiles, just gun ammo. Not sure I understand that.

So as conclusion, if I don’t get killed myself (something I try to avoid as much as possible) I can shoot down 8 planes with missiles (if all the Stingers actually kill the target) and need gun ammo for 14 more. Since I’m not Annie Oakley when it comes to hitting planes before they unload their missiles on other players or myself, I calculate with 100 rounds per plane kill. That’s 1400 rounds, or two complete loadouts plus change, without any tanks shot and a score in the range of 900 to 1000.

As improvements go, this isn’t one.
