Why the GrippenC has the ability to have Fox3+Chaff/flare while the F16AM has to have pods DEDICATED to flares and can’t whip around with both, while being worse in evry way possible, why isn’t this fair while they are the same BR ???

and that is the worse way to balance things but explains why F15E is not going up like others, this needs to change
becasue that is how it is IRL as well, if you are unhappy about that complaine to the company that made the MAW pylon unable to carry air to air missiles
also with those pylons you gain a MAW, which the gripen dosent get

But they get so much chaff/flares that they can just use salvaes.

Compression. F-16AM is too strong to go down to 13.3 and the Gripen C isn’t strong enough to go up to 14.0. at least not until they buff it’s BOL to be IRL performance among other buffs.
Though CMs rarely have a major impact on BR placements. Potential weapon fits, FM and equipment tend to play a larger role and in this it could be argued that the F16AM is stronger than the Gripen C as the Gripen C can only run a 2+4 fit and the F16 can run a 0+6 fit
Then why the F16 That will have AIM120 will be 13.3 while being no different than the AM( except flare pods/MAW), that doesn’t justify the BR placement, gaijin forgets vehicles.
- No IRCCM option
- No HMD
- Potentially weaker radar (though datamines imply they might be getting a radar upgrade as they currently dont even have TWS)
- Half the Internal CM count and no external option
F16AM doesn’t too so that wont be a huge diff
This might be the only thing that separate them the most
Who plays with the external option on the F16AM anyway, but yeah still a lil bit better, trading fox3 for flares/chaff while you only have 2/4 is seriously harsh.

A soggy noodle would have a more potent air to air armament than the C at the moment. Radar’s pretty mediocre if you try to acquire a target for the 99s, countermeasures do jack unless you ditch 90% of them in a single attempt*, and most things it runs into carry more or better armament.
*Vague exaggeration, but not by that much sadly.
That aside, F16AM has a significantly more versatile payload, from the looks. I haven’t bothered with the not french kit, so can’t confirm the other metrics being on par with other f16s which if that’s the case would make it fine at the rating.

Yeah, C is in need of some TLC. Im wondering if we will get a repsonse to the BOL post last major, in this coming major update (its about time they fix BOL) and I really hope Sweden finally gets the Gripen NG/E
Really should have seen NG/E when the other Eurodeltas showed up.
BOL fixes are going to be necessary if they want to add any kit more advanced than what we have now.
