I don’t know about the K2K (I’m still researching it) but the Kfir C7 is absolutely amazing at it’s current BR. It’s just the stock grind that’s rough
Calling me mediocre while I have superior stats in the Kurnass 2000 is peak comedy. Although I will ofc take into account the stock grind, which likely affected your stats given you’ve played less matches with it spaded. And keep in mind my stats are from before the Python 3 was added to it, and I was using it for GRB most of the time as you can probably see from the large amount of ground kills (and this was before it was able to be paired with the Merk Mk.3s, as it was at a higher BR then them back then). And yes, it was indeed and insult, and it was not indeed a fact. I will however gladly admit to being beyond trash when I first started playing, and those garbage stats are still visible on aircraft like the F-5C back when I was grinding the USA TT 2 or so years ago, heck I started off in arcade with that plane lmaooo. I have dramatically improved as a player, and newer stats will show this. All I ask is that you don’t try to discredit my advice and word based on my performance year(s) ago when I was never to the game and not as well versed on the technical and gameplay knowledge. I am much better now, I have dramatically improved over the years, as I’m sure many of us all have.
And yes you’re right, preflaring does negate that trick, however a lot of enemies tend to not preflare for some reason, especially in headons (you’d think they’d have learned by now with the R-73/60Ms). Tricking them by spraying tracer bullet before launching tends to take their mind off AAMs for some reason, stupidity I guess. Or perhaps it’s the fact they don’t expect western AAMs to be capable of pulling off the same trick which usually only applies to the R-73/60M or sometimes the Magic 2, and especially at such a greater distance than those missiles. A lot of people I face don’t expect a Python 3 of all AAMs to be so viable in a head on engagement, and have to learn this the hard way. (Makes me terrified when I imagine what the PL-8B will be capable of achieving…)
(I would also like to take this chance to ask if you’ve heard of the IAI “F-4-2000” per chance, I think it’d be a vehicle you find yourself looking forward too, given it solves the performance issues of the Kurnass 2000).
The Kfir C.7 is one of the stronger 12.0s ingame, and after its wing ripping buff it’s perfectly fine where it sits. The only change that needs to occur is the removal of the Shafrir 2 AAM from the stock grind, and the addition of the Aim-9L which has been used on Kfir in IAF service (albeit on reconnaissance Kfir RC.2s)
I didn’t like it much, you have no offensive positioning without radar missiles and rely on enemy low IQ or complete unawareness, at 12.0 is a pain since most of the time your enemies, even in a downtier, can easily handle you if you get spotted trying to sneak about above everyone.
And whenever you launch a python from altitude you get immediately spotted by multiple guys that will pile on you.
If you stay at low altitude most of your pythons are flared off.
This is like the F-16A situation but in a much worse platform at a slightly lower BR.
Even if I have decent stats in the kfir c7, it still absolutely sucks imho
The Kurnass 2000 is not good where it’s at lol, pythons are not good they chase a single flare every time unless you manage to get within gun range to fire it, it regularly faces 13.3.
However it is great at 11.3 in grb
Python 3s share the same flare resistance as that of the Aim-9L, which is notably above average for a non IRCCM western IR missile. Ofc it has its limitations, but it’s still vastly superior to any non IRCCM missile in terms of flare resistance (except the R-24/27 Ts). It range and is quite high, and unfortunately so is its seeker FOV. It’s very much capable ingame and doesn’t chase flares much depending on the aircraft and distance. 12.0 is where this aircraft belong, I will continue to say that. It’s a good missile but it’s no god missile like gaijin seems to think it is for some reason, as aircraft like this and the Netz are a bit too high in BR rn compared to contemporaries (but ofc the Netz is missing 120CMs, but that’s another subject).
As for staying on topic, it doesn’t need Aim-7s, and it won’t ever get them for the sake of historical accuracy. It can however go down in BR like myself and many other users have suggested.
Kurnass 2000 upgrade included a complete rewiring of the aircraft and the sparrow capabilities were removed
It lost a significant amount of weight from this aswell (which apparently isnt modeled in the game)
tl;dr
Alrighty than, go ahead and continue on with your skill issue since you can’t read 2 paragraphs. How you lasted this long playing this game with a TikTok attention span like that is beyond me, lmao.
@Surbaissemaxxing
Since the topic of the Kurnass 2000’s Sparrows has been discussed before time and time again, and the answer from the developers is clear that they won’t be returned to the armament due to the lack of the capability to use them (No CE Illumination),
can we get this thread closed? It would be a completely fictional armament, and gaijin doesn’t add incompatible armaments, making this thread redundant.
Not to mention a thread for this topic already exists Bring back to Kurnass 2000 Sparrows
And if anyone wants to continue discussing the BR/Placement of this aircraft, they can also use this preexisting thread:
We don’t need multiple threads for these subject, and this thread has devolved now into discussing both aforementioned topics on the Kurnass 2K which already have dedicated threads elsewhere as shown.
Ah yea true, thanks :)
