I have used both plenty and I have more luck with the 9L, either way the python really isn’t an upgrade.
The Python is definitely an upgrade. You can just say that it’s not an IRCCM missile… it’s still the best non-irccm in the game.

And at the BR they play at means absolutely nothing! Id take a plane with 9L and 7M ANYDAY over only pythons.
Which still gets defeated by 1 flare.
R-60M is far better than aim9J.
R-24R have inertial guidance and also will track just fine if the target is being painted by the radar.

Same can be done to any non irccm missile? It can even be done to IRCCM missiles themselves in the right conditions? If all you think about is “oh no my missile CAN be flared!” then you are not focusing on the actual use parameters and are making your gameplay worse as a result
It’s the same logic when people say “it’s a very good missile to unaware enemies”.

No, the Kurnass 2000 can’t guide Aim-7s, this topic has been beaten to death already. They were removed because the radar is incapable of properly illuminating targets for SARH missiles.

Out of all of these, only F-4EJ Kai, F-16A, and maybe Mirage 2000C-S4 are OP vehicles.
The rest are relatively equal to each other.
Mig-21Bison having the worst FM of the bunch, F-20A and JH-7A having the best FMs.
EJ Kai having the best weapons kit.
F-16A is good at dog fighting at 12.3 it really needs decompress but the fact that it only gets IR missiles is absolutely dreadful

Well, I don’t think JH-7A is a good one.
It looks shit just like another attackers (Tornado GR.4, Mirage 2000D-R1 and Harrier GR.7) in ARB
But even worse.
At least, western counterpart attackers have IRCCM missiles, but the JH-7A doesn’t.
Also, Western attackers have way more CM than the JH-7A has.
I saw a few JH-7As in ARB before, nearly every Chinese guy who played with her suffered.
It would be even worse after F-16A became 12.3BR.
as a joke, it looks like J-7E but +1.0BR.
