As it stands currently though, South Korea is on good terms with Japan
The F-14 IRIAF went to America and they have a rocky history with Iran
Having both North and South Korea in the same tree sounds like a bigger issue. If anything, it should be in Japan and Japan should be somewhat rebranded alongside china to moreso accentuate the relations with the rest of the world withing Asia
I’m not opposed to the idea of a Chinese F-35, I just feel like they don’t need a Korean one
And, as it stands, the F-35 would become the new Sherman
US - F-35A/B/C
Germany - German/ Swiss F-35 (ordered)
USSR - Czech F-35
Britain - F-35B
China - SK F-35
Japan - F-35A/B
Italy - F-35A/B
France - Belgian F-35A / Dutch F-35A
Sweden - Finnish / Norwegian F-35A
Israel - F-35I
Every ingame nation can have a case made for one
China have their own jets and yet people are asking for weird suggestions like this, it’s like some don’t want anything unique.
Any vehicle/aircraft should be placed based on it’s origin and not some random country which has no ties and doesn’t own the jet at all. If you wanna play the F-35 badly then grind the US or UK and an South Korean F-35 will go either to the US or United Korean Tree.
Bigger issue, how so? The Air Tree will not spectaculair but the Ground Tree is what suggestion is being looked for, as things brings of unique vehicles.
Looking at it based off of their relations with eachother, but based off of uniqueness and additions it’s fine. I argue it for the same reason we don’t have Russia as a US Subtree, the two just don’t get along very well and should be able to shine on their own rather than conglomerated together
At the end of the day though, the decision is on Gaijin, not the players, so no matter how much I argue the Vatican should be a subtree of Liechtenstein, it’s Gajins decision to make that reality (which’ll never happen thank god, imagine a tech tree that doesn’t have a single vehicle in it)
China already has a ROC branch with “western” equipment. Not only that, but ROC being a part of Chinese tech tree does mean one more thing: China can in fact receive a F-35 through Singapore. ROC was the major player in setting up Singapore’s air force. Liu Ching Chuan, a ROCAF Commander, was RSAF’s first Chief. Just a little something to keep in mind among many other things.
There is a lot more to say on this, but I digress.
I mean, the TT starts out as ROC, gets changed into PRC and than mixed but mostly PRC so i think it’s kinda out of necessity
That being said, they seem to be holding back when it comes to the modern ground vehicles that’s used by ROC, aviation still being added tho
I’d also doubt the game would have been allowed in the country by the Chinese government if Taiwan was added as a independent nation since it might be seen as some western propaganda, which means Gaijin wouldn’t be able to profit from it
I think they’re only “holding back” on modern ROC stuff because they prioritize the more played countries (USA, Russia, Germany). As you pointed out for ROC ground, they didn’t had issues adding modern ROC tanks, like CM11 and CM25. Old, but still used and “developed” in 1980s-1990s. Still locally “developed”.
The M60 and F-16 (and their local variants) are the symbol of ROC military, so I don’t think it’s politics related if even these are added.
Can’t wait for FCK-1 though, yes, an actual plane.
All those vehicles were already included when China got added to the game or were added while Gaijin still had servers running in China
As far as i’m aware, the Mirage + chap is the only new Taiwanese vehicle to be added for China after they dropped the deal with Tencent and had those servers removed (bless the copy paste)
While i do think more will come, i highly doubt it’s going to be the first place gaijin will look to for new vehicles unless they run out of modern options (or if it’s an easy copy paste)
Edit:
Mirage + Antelope, not Chap
so 1 unique option and 1 copy paste
Therefore, China now possesses the J-35 as a fifth-generation stealth fighter capable of performing CAS missions. Although South Korea’s F-35 could further diversify China’s aviation tech tree with stealth fighters, China’s own inventory is already quite substantial. This includes the J-20 with different engine variants, the J-20 prototype, the latest variant J-20S, the naval carrier-based J-35, and the J-35’s predecessor, the FC-31. Additionally, if Pakistan confirms its purchase and receives the export version of the J-35A, it might acquire the J-35AE (the speculated export designation for the J-35A) as Pakistan’s potential top-tier aircraft within a branch of China’s air force tech tree. Of course, if South Korea’s F-35 were to be added to China’s tech tree, I wouldn’t say no.
Yeah no, get out of this thread. “South Korea subtree for Japan” is 1000X more idiotic than the original post. South Korea and Japan are not military partners, they have no cooperation in vehicle design. Imperial Japanese committed unspeakable atrocities in Korea. Even if Korea was implemented as separate subtrees, South Korea would go to US or Israel, not J*p*n.
Came right into the topic with a clickbaiting title.
Checked the author after that
Yeah, it was YOU again, as always.
Even if we consider SK can’t be an independent tech-tree. Just for arguing’s sake.
There is no reason to give China a plane which they have never used.
Just pray that the Taiwanese buy the F-35 instead.
It is more plausible to see SK F-35 as ‘unlockable camo of US F-35’ than giving it to China without any proper reason.
