Iirc the ammo exploding isn’t the problem. It’s the 6 or 10mm armored plate around the carousel that causes the spalling issues.
I have 5 ground trees all the way up to 11.7 and there is no tank with weirder/less consistent spalling in this game than the T-80 series.

Russia uses Sosna U and ESSA 72 sight with french Catherine FC, however for T-80BVM and T-90M thermal imagers are swapped for russian 3rd gen thermal imager, i think it goes by TPK 3, if needed i can remember name if i got it wrong.

any little ammo doesnt spall, thats where no armour best armour comes from. T72B3 has 20mm thick plate in front of autoloader which spalls.
