I think some people are just “piss taking”. No way China gets J-11 before USSR gets Su-27. Wouldn’t make sense to give Japan an F-15 before anyone else either.

The J-10A is indeed powerful in maneuverability, but has few mounts. The J-11A has many mounts, but the maneuverability is not as powerful as the J-10A, which is enough.
