wish Germany would have gotten one of their unique upgraded variants of the m109
As someone who’s irl favorite plane is the F-15 part of me would be frustrated. 2 entire years of just naval planes and some F-16s.
Then again I know it’s not the right time yet.
So it truely was starfighters 2.0 all along.
I’d also like to mention, Germany is getting the M109 paladin, but not its home built SP-70 or (unlikely) PzH 2000. Oh, and for NVA (east German bloc) doesn’t get the Gvosdika either.
Yep, One vehicle that makes up half of the update because it’s in like 5 nations. XP
germany was one of the largest users of the m109 (second after the USA iirc). Germany should get it but their variants should get added first
East germany used both the 2S1 and 2S3. Giving germany one of these would have reduced the c&p (of the m109) aswell
I’m surprised that Israel haven’t had there Black hawk yet
And it will get those in the future.
But there’s no reason not to add the M109 now, its a ready, working model.
there was a request of one nation for the black hawk and one of the mods stated they didnt have any variant with anti tank weaponry
That makes sense, but so is the 2s1 and 2s3.
So what about Japan and China ? And us via Hong Cong.
I guess that means the RAF Gripen D is also off the tables
At the same 6.0 BR, so for the moment they went with the one that fits the tree better.
The NVA stuff is mostly used for gap filling.
dont ask me, but propably a case of helis are another situation then planes
Yeah, that also makes sense, but it’s still historical.
Ngl, if the Blackhawk is coming, I’d like to see it weaponized in the Swedish tree, as they operate it, but I don’t believe they operate one with hard points for weapons but we have a few discrepancies with this anyway, because Sweden doesn’t really like helicopters in an attack/long range hunter role, mostly because they are a “defensive” nation, if you would. Some examples are the Allouette, it never had SS.11 missile mounted for Sweden, honestly, I don’t believe the HKP3C had Bantam’s honestly, and I believe the only “historical” so to speak are the German built BÖ helicopters. The Mi-28 was just a demonstration by Russia for if they wanted to buy it, but lead to the same fate as the “AHS” and was never purchased over greater abilities of the Jakt-Fighter/Viggen project.
Imo sweden is the last one who should get such “exceptions”. They have already had more of them than most other trees combined.
I agree, but there is a lot to consider with it, like adding a Fin part of the tree with the Mi-4AV and Mi-8 to fill gaps there’s a few more in there too, and if, or more specifically when, we get Norway, a bit of those would be cool to see some of their ASW heli’s and possibly the Bell 412 weaponized, it’s just sad that Sweden never saw a use for heli’s, oh and probably Danish heli’s too if they have them.
not having weapons is much better than a trial vehicle tbh
Exactly, that’s why it’s a premium. It’s just that, currently I’m 50% don’t with the Sk-60B, and the grind is already painful to get to ground attack aircraft, specifically fast and maneuverable ones, like the viggen, and Gripen later this year. I want to get to the AHS to go with my T-80U and a few others, it’s just I’d like to finish the ground tree first, it’s just a lot to do, and honestly I would like to say I wish the heli’s weren’t there, but I want them there, and I want them, they just take away the grind to all the ground vehicles and then after that, you have to grind the vehicles, and the SL costs aren’t worth it the only heli worth the grind is at the end of the tree, or buy the premium. And then once you get the AHS, it has no weapons except the chain-gun and then the PvE heli missions for the grind of the weaponry begin. It’s just not worth the things in the way of the AHS, and there becomes the problem, if I was to get gaijin to remove the “fake” heli’s to get them out of the way of the AHS would remove the reason for the grind. Also weird that even SB professional and DCS world have the AHS in them. Maybe it’s just a weird thing where they do have some, it’s just “classified” or kept on the low down.
Here’s a thread from a member of the Swedish armed forces (second one down) that kind of explains the reason they did have heli’s
