When i understand it right normally you would lock on like any other IR missile the Heat from the plane you want to shoot down.
With the Optical Sensor you lock like a TV guided Missile or Bomb the target but you need clear line of sight with the heaven in the back to get it to work and daytime.
This also improves range of the missile since you dont need a strong heatsource to lock on, only a clear image of the Plane/Chopper.
@Smin1080p So with the Kiwi Strikemaster being a BP is there a chance we would get the other variants & operators as a standard GE or premium vehicle ?
Seems a bit strange to limit one type of unique airframe for the BP.
I would love to have a Saudi or a Singapore variant
i know, the issue is that it doesnt seem to do anything. even on a clear weather setting it wont lock things past 3km
It doesn’t work because the photo contrast mode haven’t been implemented yet as it’s still being worked on.
guess i should stop looking at the dev stream and think they actually did something when they say “you can now”
or they can tell you it hasnt yet been implemented lol

Yeah, is weird they didn’t mention about it not being implemented.
At least they are working on it and will be interesting to see the devblog about the contrast mode they mentioned aswell.

This isn’t really true either. The polish migs have undergone quite a few upgrades, they have an entirely new cockpit with mfds, and newer avionics as well, though I’m not 100% sure what all of those upgrades were.
No idea if it was tested, but here the document i found on it. It also has a reference image for the polish mig’s hud for @Pika_Thor.
And no this document is in no way classified.
They also have some chauchat but still no French army, i hate this game xD

If you guys are talking british tree, why not give em the RNZAF A-4 KAHU or the RAAF A-4K?
