I imagine that Norwegian aircraft would be suitable for a subtree, while danish aircraft could be used as premium and event vehicles.

Maybe? I just don’t see the issue of supplementing with an F-16. Not to mention what a Norwegian subtree could add to air in general.

Mainly, 50% of nations already have and are actively running F-16s at top tier. F-16 vs F-16 vs F-16… etc. Is just not interesting gameplay (and from an SB player. trying to VID when everyone is in the same jet, is just impossible)
Of course, Finnish aircraft are already confirmed for it. What would the addition of RNoAF as a subtree take away from the finnish additions?
I have no idea, but I just see Sweden becoming a Scandanavian tree, taking stuff from all 3 nations equally, when appropriate

I mean the Finnish air sub tree is no longer a thing so I wouldn’t mind some Norwegian aircraft
I get that, but its also the fact that top tier in general will be quite similar across trees due to consolidation that has happened over the years.

Maybe, but I think Gripen should be able to effectively fullfill the role of both A2A and A2G for Sweden. So with that option in mind. I’d say that is a lot better than an F-16. We’ve already seen nations getting F-16 when they didnt need it at all, like China. Because “Shoulder shrug”
I just double check and Italy used the Aim9L/I-1 on F-16

Im not, Im British Main. but from conversations with others. Viggen is fine, but is in desperate need of something new for top tier. Like Britain, its still runs a great jet for the 11.3 bracket, but has nothing for 12+ and sucks in any form of uptier
Yeah only thing with Gripen is the seemingly limited air to ground armaments. Its workable but it will probably never be what the F-16C currently allows in game. I can see F-18 working, but idk the BR it works at.
Then it would not have been problematic to add a Norwegian or Danish F-16 in Apex Predators.

r77 has a massive design issue that being the “fins” (the kind you see on spacex rockets), they act as airbrakes if going between M0.8-M1.3
this impacts its range really hard and it was only fixed like with the r77-1 (most modern version iirc)
another arh that could be added is the r27EA, but that wasnt tested, nor ever actually existed(again, iirc)

For the Italian TT there are several options after the introduction of the Aim-120, considering the model, since the F-16 can carry both the B and C models, there are also 2 types of Erurofighter prototype and several tranches of EF-2000, so there are no big problems for next year considering Air to Air. We still lack CAS like the AMX and the lower tier Aermacchi 326 and 339. However, it remains a mystery why, except Sweden, there are no armed trainers and close air support based on trainers in the game, I’m talking about aircraft such as the BA Strikemaster, MB326 K, BA Hawk, Alpha Jet, L-39, Aemacchi MB 339 , Cessna A-37 etc etc without mentioning the more recent models such as the Leonardo 346 FA etc etc. Obviously the list is only indicative, but it makes clear the missing category. they are aircraft that span various eras and with BRs that are easily manageable based on armaments.
