Honestly I don’t know. Whether its this year, next year, 5 years. Swedens next aircraft will be the Gripen. Without that, but if they do add AMRAAM, then Viggen could get a buff too with them.
Gripen will turn Sweden/Fin into maybe the closest thing to the next major nation
UK needs alot of work. it’s just gone completely neglected, and needs multiple vehicles to fill massive capability gaps, not like Japan who needs only 2-3
Yep, essentially for the past 2-4 years. Britain has been pretty neglected. With additions either poorly done or poorly chosen. Real shame considering we were an original nation and have such an amazing line up of stuff at lower tier, but it just gets to a certain point and they just sort of, forget about us, Its around BR7/8 ish
Gripen is not that much stronger FM wise to Mirage 2000s afaik.
France still have more right that some to be classed as major nation. Futureproof everywhere, from ground, air, and even navy if we go more modern. Without getting copy past/help from bigger nations.
And Gripen is no mach for the day EF/Rafales/similar gonna comes. (not saying it’s a bad plane, still capable and a beauty too (more beautiful than the EF to me, but less than the rafale :p )

I know this question is out of the blue, but how are chinese top tier jest preforming? I havent played them and i bearly hear anything about them.
Based on convos with a few chinese mains over the past few days in this thread
F-16 is still an F-16, so reasonably good in A2A, but they lack decent high tier CAS and would like a native plane. Likely J-10 pretty soon

But relatively speaking, France is a “newer” nation in WT, but either way, they need to just forget about US/USSR for half a year and flush out the other nations. So many gaps that render nations at certains BRs less than fun. I should be able to pick any nation at any BR and just play it. But I tried to go back and play the BR6-7 in ground and was frustrated by no SPAA.

It could come, but I doubt it unfortunately. As its just a prototype aircraft for Israel, and they only add Prototypes where needed.

-ADATS to be moved to the TD line
-Tracked Rapier to be at 9.7 - 10.0
-Possibly Land Ceptor
-S.53 Shorland missile SPAA at 9.0
-LMM and fixes for Stormer HVMs tracking and hit detection
-An entire line of light vehicles including: Land Rover MILAN/WOMBAT/Javelin(anti-tank), CVR(T) Stormer variants, Ferret scout car variants, FV432 variants, Alvis Saladin
-Stormer AD to fill the same role as LAV-AD (most nations seem to have a Guns + IR missile combo vic)
-Challenger 2 to be completely reworked and overhauled (jesus christ what a mess,)
-A top tier british jet fighter for A2A. Not an interceptor. Not a strike plane. A fighter this time that can go toe to toe with F-16s and MiG29SMTs
-Warrior IFV and AJAX variants
-more TV guided missile aircraft like Bucc S2B
-A 10.X bomber (Avro Vulcan)
-Maybe some top tier Canadian vehicles like LAVs instead for SPAA filler an IFVs
-Tornado needs its CM loads fixed
Probably a whole lot more but that’s as much as I can think of right now.

I agree with you. But you see, Sweden is even newer, but really better treated…
And i really hope they also make better choice to wich vehicle to add, TTs or premium.
Because for making the French air TT appealing with premium they do a really bad job, choising only basic variants of planes, when other more powerfull/interesting could come. (could have some later Mirage IIIs or later Mirage F1 like Mirage F1 2000 (Mirage 2000 engine, advanced weaponry and other stuff, for giving an idea)
But no, only basic variant adding nothing more than the butchered TT ones.

Yeah, I was thinking about leveling French air at some point, but did feel like it had some gaps and a really good looking Premium would help a lot, would defiently buy that.

A god top premium jet (choices available) and a good premium top tank is really needed to me. And some META premium, like Sweden (thats why they are interesting to a lot of player)
One of the proto Leclerc (4 exist and could help creatinga ~10.0 linup, things we don’t have) could easy be one of the ~10.0 French premium

Yeah, a good line up of premiums in a big factor for a good nation. Britain has loads, but half them arent really worth it.
But yeah, a good french premium could be fun to play for a change.
