and am I wrong about the ki83? The yak3u (a dedicated low altitude fighter) absolutely folds it at 6500 meters of altitude. Two shvak also deal more damage than four 30mm HO-155.
id like you to tell me what plane does not get folded by the yak3u that isnt a spit

no, the real thing is that even a tu2 folds the ki83.
i’ve never lost a dogfight against a ki83. The plane is bad, period. Also all it can do in an air RB match is literally just a single energy trap, miss the shot and be unable to recover back cause you will lose the little nose authority you had, plus compression, plus high drag, plus low damage tolerance. Neither the guns, nor the performance outside static thrust, nor the damage are remarkable enough to make it’s climb rate actually worthy. It’s so fundamentally bad at the rest that it’s 30 meter per second rate is negligible. You don’t need more than a synapse to defeat the ki83, either don’t go up if you’re further than 1km from it, or go up cause you’ll catch up if you happen to dogfight below 1km of distance between each other.
maybe if you play turn only without flaps
I do use them, doesn’t impact the outcome, the nose authority will mess you up.
