Can I hope that the Ki-96 will be available for purchase at some point? During some sale? I know it was removed from purchase, but I read somewhere that sometimes we can buy it.
If I remember correctly, it was removed from regular sales and shifted to limited sales, most limited vehicle sales happen during a specific day (holiday or first flight for example). Unfortunately, I’m not sure when it may return (probably on a Japan related holiday or the Ki-96 first flight).
Usually those vehicles get a specific day when they become available to be purchased. Usually the maiden flight day or something along those lines.
I’m glad I bought it when it got a big discount right before being removed, its one of the few twin engine fighters than can outturn most other single engine fighters. Excellent climb rate and speed too. Compresses at speed and is very prone to damage, slowish roll rate.
I grinded most of Japanese tree with it till I unlocked Rank V, then I grinded with the A7M2 the rest till I unlocked Rank VI, after that I used the squadron F-5E FCU and rushed the F-16AJ.
It was a very easy grind overall since I managed to skip playing anything from Rank V to VII before the Thai line being added.
it will likely return sometime, though it’s nothing special. Very poor nose authority stops the rest of its decent stats from really making an impact.
It’s amazing and in my opinion undertiered. I have a 6+ kdr with it and 84% WR. You have to be careful with your speed when BnZ because it really locks up, but if you get good at lag pursuit you will easily deal with the subpar nose authority/roll/rudder
