i185s are known for their very bad turn and 190s have strong flaps so wdym and yak turns better than 109 with flaps at all speeds? but what does str mean anyway i tried searching the meaning but couldnt find it anywhere.
so are u agreeing with me on the f4u characteristics? idk what u really mean
i hope that player isnt me because u got a history of liking to be rlly ambiguous. it will be very funny if u are talking abt me when im also in this thread.
What? I was discussing with PercussionCap.
ur comment i replied to saying the average us player uses top speed to run back to af idk what ur thoughts on the f4u4 are
USA players? Use top speed to run back to AF? I’m not sure if you are serious, cuz that is USA player. I haven’t seen a USA player who knows how to avoid dogfighting USSR, British or Jap fighters for months. Had they learned anything about arb, we would have F8F-1 at 5.3 and F4U-4 at 4.7 or 5.0 at least.
Do you have a source for that nerf? I don’t think anything has changed, Yak-3 continues to be one of my most dangerous opponent while Bf 109 F4 and G2 cotinue being fodder, nowadays along with Fw 190 A5.
Probably sustained turn rate.
u can also check the ratio of ai killed per battle and divide the kills by that, it works better right? the ai planes spawn late and sometimes i dont see them spawning at all on one side, so if someone kills many of them their team most likely already won. i dont think farming ai works consistently if someone doesnt have skill in the first place cause usually ppl will dive on the first enemy they see. renamed said that person only had high kd in ki44 and a7m. i dont think ppl who like to stat farm only do it for a few planes and i also dont get the point of ai farming for stats in the first place. usually there wont only be one person who goes for the ai.
Compared datamines from end of 2023 to today in 2024
Performance data is from Catwerfer’s EM diagram Google sheets.
well i meant i was asking u what characteristics makes the f4u4 deserve to be 4.7 or 5.0 that i also asked before. its main strengths are low speed dogfighting and high top speed and has much worse turn than p51d30. now im confused what ur stance is, you say ki44 should be uptiered (should be 4.0 first) but also think the f4u4 should too? sure if the economy was favorable to long matches and gaijin had good tutorials to teach players how to bnz and most us teams played properly i would agree with bnzs going up, but both arent the case.
undertiered planes like the xp50 wyvern f8f1, maybe yak3 pm1 (arguable) should go up, overtiered planes like a6ms and some italian planes mentioned (idk since i dont have italian tt) should go down. i dont think the f4u4 is on that list and playing 5.0 us for a long while i literally have not seen a single top fragger in it. why uptier planes that are already off meta for the off chance someone may use their single niche strength?
i watched it and i only heard him describe the xp50 yak3 and spitfires as the toughest to fight against. 109 only rates better at 250ias but if the yak3 is a decent pilot he’ll gain a lot of position fast with better MER at entry speeds. spitfires have poor MER and lower top speed.
4.7 for F4U-4 at most, I’d say. F4U-4 got low power-to-weight ratio, but it does have good top speed. Even though it is far less overpowered than Ki-44 or F8F-1, in an ideal environment F4U-4 can be quite annoying. And F4U-4 turns well at lower speed. But just as I said, low power-to-weight ratio, being a USA fighter, which means having useless USA teammates, and its engine does not perform well at 1500-2500m altitude, all of these make it less than “overpowered”. It’s not in ideal environment, and only a few of the players know how to utilize its characteristics. Still, it’s easier to aim in F4U-4 than P-51 in BnZ.
Oh, and another thing. When I referred to 5.0, I was actually trying to say Fw-190D. Guess that’ll be where F4U-4 is, had it been in Germany tech tree.
Link to it, and show me when and how Gaijin cryptonerfed Yak-3, cause to me it’s just as deadly as ever.
You can’t check such stats for a specific plane.
My point is, current statcards suck monkey nutz.
Farming AI is effective, because you can consistently score 5 kills per battle while killing 1-2 player planes only.
Oh, BTW US teams around 4.0-6.0 are godawful.
Played XP-55.
It’s a goddamn monster. But it’s not capable of winning 1 v 4 vs Yak-3s and Bf 109s, and typical XP-55 battle is:
- team all goes low and dies in a furball, as US planes are generally horrible turnfighters
- I remain at alt, get swarmed, or I dive down, kill 1-2 guys before getting 3rd-4th partied.
So I am not surprised F8F is 4.7 nowadays.
They utilise their new BR to die by Ki-44-II in a turnfight.
Meanwhile Yak-3 swarms mop up entire teams and pay2win Yak-3 remains at 4.0 because reasons.
Balance in this game is a joke
To be honest, Yak-3e also suffers from team. In this plane, over and over and over again Gaijin give you USA teammates and hordes of horrible Yak-9T/I-185(185 itself is quite good) teammates. I have seen more Yak-3/La-7 teammates when I am in Ger Bf-109G-6 than in Yak-3e. I don’t think this is ELO because my Bf-109G-6 stat is also quite good. This is absolutely a mystery. : (
I have to agree, Soviet teams are also pretty bad. Yak-3 is extremely good, but it sometimes takes time to get the desired effect as this plane is super good when used with a bit of patience and calculated approach. Yet the nature of braindead teammates calls for joining the furball to save ANYTHING, only to get attacked from above by Ki-61 and Mk V Spitfire. Or not join the furball and get dragged into combat at 6000m, waste half an hour only to have the enemy dive for his AF.
Absolutely hilarious.
I felt a sense of deja vu reading this.
