Kh-38 got big buff (hipocrisy) and SPAA effectivness

I mean, you can do it by visually tracking the missile launch. Been able to intercept them quite reliably that way.

But still, I’ve seen quite a considerable amount of time that my Mavericks for instance were intercepted basically at the last moment. If it were faster, especially with Kh-38 speed, they’d die instead. It’s more of a statistics thing however, if you’re good (or just not bad) you can intercept both, but not everyone is like that, so the high speed filters out more SPAA players that could otherwise deal with a slower missile.

All nations AGMs except USSR: MACH 0.9 - 1.0
USSR KH38ML/MT MACH 2.2

Well, if only I was not playing on potato 5000, and the missile was rendering for me further than a second before impact (but only if I am looking at it in sniper view, many times I had my stuff just explode with no missile ever showing on my screen)

If you can shoot those things from absolute cover, then this doesn’t mean anything as you can just rearm and go again until AA is out of ammo.

AAs are pretty easy to drain out completely as Hammers, Spikes and 38s can all do it.
We’re playing a game in which a smart CAS player can’t be countered from the ground.

I swear, people who say “what about the mavs?”, “what about the hammers”, conveniently ignore what makes the kh-38 an insanely good weapons platform.

Ignore the platform they’re launched from and ignore how much faster they are compared to everything else lol

cmon city maps arent that bad

just make them bigger

Do I have to explain the same thing I did in the comments of that video here…

Hammers are found on 2 JETS ONLY.

KH38s are found on 3 Jets, 2 of which are end of line but NOT end of TT, making there grinding stupidly easier vs Hammers. thats ignoring the fact KH38s are still faster, having a better flight path (lofting) so they are not only harder to spot on radar (because some radars have vertical azimuth range limits that DO NOT match that horizontal azimuth range limits) there is a reason some SPAA/SAMs simply dont detect KH38s till there in terminal phase.

Yet Hammers because there flight path is more “direct” there easier to spot/track and engage against (unless launched from high altitude)

The only valid argument is the speed, everything else is “questionable” at best.

elaborate?

So what are other nation gonna do when germany and russia players just team up? What your going to use your british adats to kill the kh38? The slamraam that can’t shoot past 10km and can just be multipathed if not notched? Or the OTOMATIC XDDDDDD and pray to god that somehow the vt shell hits the kh38? I’m sure the rafale can fly close to the battlefield to deal with the su30 and su34, surly it won’t just get slap out of the sky by slm. I mean china might be able to use its heli and camp the enemy air field? Oh wait they you are revealed by the global map and they will just shoot you down lol. Surely japan and sweden will save us, oh wait their aa only reach til 8 and 9 km? Sucks to be you then.

For all thouse people who are complaining about how irist slm is underpowered or that kh38 is not over powered. Please acknowlage that there is 5 other nation in the game since this whole dev blog I feel like its just people argueing about irist-slm and kh38. But somehow the other 5 nation sam get completely left out of the equation.

Unlikely. Radars can lock it IR missiles too. But IRST never

Ik i doesnt go mach 2. Wanted to say something other than mach jesus

We just have to be SP pinata’s for a while I guess.

It’s… unfathamable why gaijin would leave some nations out for new SPAA, especially the italians who have the sodding OTOMATIC as their top tier SPAA.

Then again, the brits are getting the badger so… yay I guess?

Sigh

As of right now, it doesn’t seem like anything is changing.

And then have any CAS aircraft you dare to spawn murdered by IRIS-T, Pantisr and Flakrads.

Playing Britain in top tier isn’t going to be an option

Have we ever not been?
