Zero risk to the player though
Zero risk ?
You’re constantly slow from the landings which makes you a sitting duck.
The only people I see defending this addition to the missile or the missile at all are the people who mainly play USSR to begin with and have the SU25/SU30/SU34 as their top vehicles for ground kills. They’ll remain stubborn as they’re not the ones being killed by these missiles, so for them its fun.
Just say you want easy kills with your broken missile. Its not balanced. No need to jump through these hoops.
Honestly at this point, no point of even complaining about it. Gaijin doesn’t care about what we have to say. CMs avoid commenting about it, the only time they got involved was when people went way off-topic on the KH38MT existence thread but even then they didn’t acknowledge what the discussion was about. Makes you wonder why they avoid commenting on the topic itself.
My posts keep being flagged for advertisement.
Hydra + stinger is unironically great ive managed to kill multiple 4km + helis with it
Yup, I’ve died to it, maybe it was to you XD
Ive been playing mostly russian aircraft for a while cause i find them fun and a2g monutions are bonkers in sim. Its fun plinking comviys at 30kms with kh38ml. I wish we had more static targets and infantry in sim. If it was dynamic ala nucleor option it would probably be the third most played gamemode
Idk if you have played any of these school bus sized spaa but they dont like to move, and a lot of maps you are stuck in a posistion where if you do move its almost guarenteed death to ground units. You arent moving these last second to dodge a failed intercept, and thats only going to be viable around hard cover which only works against low alt launches on you. You could kite while you intercept so if it fails you have momentum, but a lot of maps this is impossible or will get you killed by enemy ground vics.
Ye the question is if this ammo box only replenishes 1 launcher (shared) or 2 launcher (separate)
I hate that gemblem limited spaa ammo box ammo count to just 1. I get that spaa shouldnt be sitting in one place but bruh we are playing in times where one plane can spam +4 missiles and cant even shoot down that plane so it rearms and spams more
Seeing how launchers are controller independently I’m pretty sure boxes are available for both units, so 8 additional missiles for each unit.
You can’t really expect a lone AA to fight off multiple aircraft and dozens of missiles all by itself for a cost of, what, 70 SP ? Seeing that in a Gaijin’s game is pretty much never happening.
Now after the SLM’s buff and seeing how it can be really dangerous to planes 15-20km away, slinging off IR missiles at 12-13km of range will be much, much harder than before so obviously CAS’ efficiency will drop down by a lot.
Yes, you can use GNSS to sling off missiles from far away, but that practically makes you useless against moving targets which is a really big win if you ask me, especially for MBT enjoyers. Not only that, you’re also firing pretty much blindly, guessing enemy’s position and just hoping you hit something.
This also makes you much more vulnerable to CAP, as you’ll always be close to the airfield and do constant landings/takeoffs, which makes you a sitting duck.
From what I’m seeing right now, SLM is an amazing addition that will force planes to either go on a very dangerous gun run or just spam the missiles guesstimating the target’s location. I just hope other new AAs get close to that efficiency.
Also, I do genuinely wonder what will happen to 11.0 - 11.3 CAS if all those new stuff remain at 12.0.
yeah, even with new AA toptier will be unplayable because of course russia needs to get the most op stupid things
this is impossible to counter with AA, 6 kh38 every 50/60 seconds?
Meanwhile the Italians are expected to defend against this crap with an optomatic, the brits with a heavily nerfed adats and the swedes with a new spaa with 8 missiles total including the ones in an ammo crate.
God forbid people on the ground have fun huh.
Even if they buff IRIS-T SLM to be better at shooting down KH-38 they still wont beable to stop russian CAS Meta. The new DIRCM on KA-52 and MI-28NM will make them totally immune to IRIS-T and Spikes.
I mean, yeah, they did that so that IRST SLM is not overpowered God. I mean, just look at every other SPAA; they have a firing cone where the missile launcher has to be pointed at IRST. IRST doesn’t have that. IRST is one of the best If not the best anti-air systems when it comes to engaging multiple targets at once, and don’t forget, if the choppers are a problem, you always have a FlaRakRad.
flarakrad? lol
helicopter hiding behind a hill the moment you fire:
and then as you only have 2 missiles it will pop back out while you reload and kill you with a vikhr
How about spawning a plane of your own and getting yourself a free kill on a rearming plane.
IRIS-T can’t even shoot down air to ground munitions and has massive tracking issues. As it is Pansir would be better because you can just fire 2 KH-38 or AASM Hammer and there is nothing it can do. Or spawn in a Russian heli wich would also mean it can’t do anything. Mean while Pansir can shoot down air to ground missiles, kill heli and kill planes at long and closer range.
For that you need a decent amount of point because gaijin decided ARH missiles are the same cost as laser guided bombs. And you might not have the points after getting killed by KH-38
Great so now I need to bring 2 SPAA in my line up. 1 to try and kill Russian planes and another to try and kill Russian heli’s. Both of which can’t reliably intercept KH-38.
Pantsir’s ability to kill helicopters is the same as all other SACLOS SAMs and it’s pretty bad at that.
And they don’t need SP to spawn a plane of their own ?
Looks like you’re applying different rules here for some reason.
@WalletWarrior69
You can do that with IOG and guided bombs already.
You can also do this with Hammers.
How are GPS guided munitions game breaking? You’ve never made this argument before, so what changed in your mind? Soviets have GPS guided munitions that keep them save behind hills already, so it’s not Kh-38 which is inferior to GROM-2 and FAB-3000.
How is it now that you consider GPS guided munitions OP?
Are you extending the goalposts now that Kh-38MTs, Hammers, and AGM-65Ds are no longer OP?
And GBUs haven’t been OP since buffs to Pantsir?
@bertgame
Try 2000 pound GNSS GBUs. They’re rather effective.
Either way, GPS mode on Kh-38s are not new and are not the buff people think they are.
