Yea dont get me wrong. I do want team to actually “work” together. In reality everyone either goes for kills or speedrun CAS (which most do). Only few pep care about caps
Its all speculation what will happen when update drops tho. It might change hopefully
Now, im talking back then when it didnt have zoom buff
Holy crap man. If only glabrababobjob add something like supply vehicles that could go to cap zones for ammo without launchers doing it. I think they did say that there are supply vehicles off the map
We already can spawn vehicles and drive them but idk it might be too “complicated”
I haven’t seen the creates in the Dev server recordings I have watched, but they seem to have reworked the “skill bar” so they may be deployed differently, even with the boxes though that’s still only 8 shots for some of the SPAAs.
in the feed back for the ammo replenishment I did suggest giving IFVs the ability to load and carry ammo (you know in all that empty space Gaijin keeps complaining about taking no damage, stuff it with explosives and see how well “no armour= best armour” works!) or spawning supply creates at points that could be towed out to the SPAAs. I figured it would encourage more cooperation with a more realistic mechanic than “magic box”, but nobody seemed to like the idea.

Man i would absolutely love it. I do like how u can build ur own air defense site but would love it to resupply it too
They could function like planes or drones so they dont cap points for balance reasons ofc
Given how different these systems are, it’s likely that there will be a lot more refinement to them, it’s defiantly a step in the right direction and it’s still the first day or two of dev server. Hopefully this isn’t one of those things Gaijin just drops in then forgets about.

People can already do that with TV/IR Ordnance, and just like GNSS the counter is moving, but unlike GNSS, TV/IR have seekers that can track targets in terminal phase

Currently IIR missiles can’t use GNSS, it has the same bug as launching SALH + GNSS with laser on (when designation point is out of seeker range).
I think the guidance logic is GNSS > TRK <> IOG. I think There’s some issue right now with active seekers (IIR seeker turns itself on when trying to launch, and laser seekers turn on based on if the laser point is on). So when fired they immediately try to go into TRK but as they fail to capture anything, they go to IOG and never activate GNSS. This causes SALH + GNSS or IIR + GNSS weapons to fly straight to boresight (due to IOG) in these situations. At least with SALH you can turn off the laser on launch, which prevents GNSS mode to be skipped.
Anyways, this means when launching the Kh-38MT in POINT lock (a form of TRK), it is not using GNSS. I believe this effectively just means that if the locked spot is smoked, the lock will he lost and it goes to IOG. If it was guiding in GNSS, it would not care.
Not sure if GNSS guidance inherently tries to avoid slamming into the ground, or if it’s simply because of better lofting preventing this in the first place. I think it’s probably the lofting parameters that matter here.
Also i believe for IIR + GNSS, the intended behavior (at least how they explained SBU-64 hammer on the dev stream when it was shown) is either only GNSS or only IIR (+ IOG), so no LOAL without LOS stuff.
Only buff I can see is that intertial drift is 0 now, so the IOG part is better and the Kh-38ML can be used as pure GNSS weapon.

Well… I guess its all calm. For now
Thanks for clarification
Issue here is if you’re suppressing the ability to launch IR guided weapons reliably, if the munition has a laser/(gps/gnss) counterpart, it can be loosed without laser guidance and only have the laser turned on in the terminal stage to confirm the kill. That can be done without being close to the field. So if the AA is an adequate threat, you can target it pretty comfortably if it moves, and if you don’t care to you still can reasonably target moving targets other than it.
Similar principle to brimstones, but from way the heck away.

Nope, because people were inevitably toxic and consistently derailing it

complaints about the russian mains wunderwaffe was going to do that.
If you can’t keep a thread civil, then it gets shutdown. Simple as that.

I won’t say what I want to say, as I don’t really want a forum break.
But buffing the non-existent weapon is disgusting. It’s dramatically overperforming with its seeker and any honesty would see it nerfed into the ground, not buffed.
Disgusted.

B-b-b-but the thread was closed because Gaijin doesn’t want to face the reality.
It only took them more than a month and thousands of posts to do just that lmao. Some people are beyond delusional.

Yes there are many bad actors which I why we need better moderation and not blanket approach of closing off topics. Notice Gaijin have not reopened the thread and likely wont. Even if they did all it takes is some Russian main to be vocal or toxic and they close it again.
Lets be real no Russian main is going to willingly give up their “I win button” I think in the kill count for the game it should split them between ground kills and kills with CAS.

At most, the IR variant would be removed.

and this was considered too OP for the Brimstone that it had to have it’s FnF totally removed…
