Kh-38 got big buff (hipocrisy) and SPAA effectivness

You don’t have to expose yourself, Kh-38 is so fast and lofts so aggressively with GNSS that they can be launched from the safety of the airfield without you barely even having a LOS on the target as seen on this video.

What’s worse, it’s that you can launch from the airfield and simply, land, re-arm and repeat forever until you’ve carpet bombed every square inch of the ground spawns.

Now in a real battle you will most likely just point, launch and dive out to safety, you don’t have to hover high in the sky for a GNSS cruise missile to hit 🤦‍♂️

All I’m seeing here is the increasing enshittification of the ground players experience.

“Just move”

My brother in Christ, have you seen how slow some of the existing and new spaas are? Most don’t even have smoke. Not to mention that if you have 2 launchers and a radar unit that’s 3 you have to move, while trying to engage air targets at the same time.

Does gaijin even have game managers and designers? It doesn’t seem so at this point.

Because GNSS really only hits static targets, if you actually refuse. Surely moving 15m is not hard no?

Because moving is literally the most basic counter against GNSS munition. This has been the case since dance of dragons

LITERALLY THIS!!! JUST MOVE OUT OF THE WAY.
Fire and move, if you’ve been in a spot too long and are scared of being attacked, MOVE POSITION

you can’t ask too much of SPAA players, imagine them having to move and be aware… torture…

(before y’all go wild, the KAB-500Kr is a TV guided bomb with all the limitations that come from that much like a walleye)

The point ------------------------------------------> you.

Lets just break down your argument for a second.

We’re supposed to see the launch from 30km away. We’re then supposed to move three units in the short amount of time before those weapons arrive, with shitass wheeled vehicles that are (usually) slow as hell wuth the atrotious traction modelling in this game, , all at the same time engaging other air targets and trying to remain hidden on tiny maps. All the time this is going on, the cas player is completely safe and can just land, re-arm and do it all over again.

Do you not see how utterly absurd this is? How can such a power imbalance be allowed in a video game?

Gaijin have already crossed the rubicon of just making stuff up with the kh-38mt, its time to hard limit these weapons to 12km, force takeoffs from airfields regardless of weather and possibly enforce 1st person view on aircraft in grb as well.

I love zero context screenshots. For all we know, he just spawned and was trying to move out of his spawn.

“because its a video game, probably”
be careful next time

don’t have the replay at hand but he was up for more than just spawning, even killing a Ka-50/52 and here’s the larger screenshot:

i came in from his side and dropped the bomb withnin 3km

probably couldnt react fast enough
he was probably focusing on other target and u being flying low probably didnt pop on his radar
this is why new spaa will be DOA no matter what
pop up attack, dead
kh-38mt, dead
bomb from high alt, dead(bcuz the new sam somehow cant reach high alt XD)
Pantsir on the other hand it can

  • Lock and intercept munnitions very well
  • Good radar compare to others
  • Good range(missiles actually reach range)
  • Guns for minor anti tank/annoyance
  • Can shoot down high alt target(something that other struggle with)

In SPAA? Radar
In tanks? If you’re not moving in a tank. Then that’s on you

It goes mach2. And you gotta move 2 of 3 vehicles just to survive. By the time you move the first one the missiles are already hitting the ground

It actually takes quite a while for it to reach anything at 30km shots though.

honestly, no word
radar dont do anything if ur missiles cant reach anywhere
so being an spaa players u have to constantly moving and let the threat go rent free?
i dont think thats balance

It’s quite the similar problem against GBU-39s btw, and those things actually clogs up your radar with insane amount of contacts

he was also immobile from his spawn, him repositioning even by a building would’ve cancelled any work of mine to get him, i was literally able to keep track of him with the map and an SPO-15 for a RWR, genuine skill issue if you don’t reposition (which i did since at first i tried a head on attack and failed, hence why i went to his side instead)

this is a very interesting thread about how you can mitigate any f&f munition’s effect by doing simple things such as hiding in trees, behind rocks and moving:

the sad thing is that u have to move 3 sluggish vehicle away from those thing
unlike pantsir, you can move and intercept at the same time
atleast for stuff like slamraam, u are fast, so theres that, but slm, spyder, unlucky

Unfortunately that’s the con of multiple vics. Really makes you wonder why TELARs never hit big in western militaries until recently
