12km??? the kh38mt could already go 30km before. the only thing restricting it was the TGP hard cap of 20km, but that was moved to 30km for all planes a few updates ago. And you can already point lock fire it outside of 14-18km. so literally nothing changes here.

I’ve noticed that everytime Russian WR goes down they add something gamebreaking, like the best dart in the game (object 292) and the Pantsir & the KH38MT on the SU25SM3 which every Content creator that played it at that time said that it was Overpowered.

It’s gonna be really hard to play with SLM in the small maps, I really hope Gaijin considers favoring bigger maps from now on as a band aid while we get new/better spawn zones for these new SPAA. Just imagine spawning in Rhine or Ardennes, in these maps the games are decided in the first minute. So playing AA is kinda pointless in them. While spawning, CAS in small maps has no downsides.

one big issue i have with the threads about the Kh-38MT is that even if gaijin listens to the whining, what’s gonna replace it? the MT has been added to give an IR AGM to russia and out of all the possibilities to do so i think they did the right call by choosing the 38MT because if y’all think the MT isn’t real enough, the other options were the Kh-29D and Kh-25MTP, both of which never even left the drawing and are only barely mentionned, if anyone truly cares about realism then consider the other options are even less real.
Before y’all jump on me, yes, i’m a russian main, but that doesn’t mean i’m opposed to some Kh-38MT nerfs, however i don’t really see a need to do so, the only advantages the 38MT really have are it’s speed and IOG one of which is inherent to it being a Kh-38 and the later one being very simply countered by smoking and moving to cover, remember, ESS exists if you have it and you can smoke more than once.
No, GNSS will not give the MT LOAL, the ML is the most benefiting, but remember that the ML still isn’t getting LOAL in the sense a MMW brimstone fired in ripples would and the ML is in 2/3 carriers limited by the carrier’s lack of an actual wide azimuth guidance, yes, this becomes less relevant with distance but this has to be considered when you have to notch air and ground launched ARH’s or missiles from AA’s like the IRIS-T SLM which will strongly limit the ML’s usability.
yes so 3 options, none of which have any documented testing or proof that they existed in a functioning state and gaijin decided to use the least balanced possible option

which is also the least irrealistic as the other ones never even left paper, the 38MT at least has a mockup to model it from, the other’s don’t even have that
really? because from the performance goals in one of the brochures 38mt wouldnt be able to track tanks pretty much at all due to poor thermal resolution, so how is adding it in its current state the most realistic option
because there is at least something regarding the MT, there may not be much more than mockups and brochures but that’s a LOT more than nothing except very rare mentions with no pictures and an abandonned project.
As for the seeker performance, this is simply a copy paste of all IR F&F seekers.
No nation is entitled to a capability. The brits don’t use IR FnF missiles on the ground but you dont’ see gaijin making up a weapon to fill that gap do you?
Furthermore, what is currently modelled is so far beyond its own marketing brocure it would make 1980’s pravda editors blush.
