Kfir C.10 (B60) - The final upgrade

J-8F and AV-8B+ are better at dogfighting, have equivalent missiles to Derby, and if C10 is “stuck” with Python 3s [I hope it is due to only having up to 72 countermeasures], that makes the Kfir C10 on-par.
The only thing Kfir C10 has over AV-8B is speed, and it has nothing over J-8F outside the ability to carry 4 total radar missiles instead of 2.

Cause I really want the C10, and if its armament surpasses its countermeasures, then it’s not going to be as fun as with a “lesser” historical loadout.

The C-10 should be much more maneuverable than the J-8F and AV-8B, it also gets PGMs and even though it only gets 72 CMs they should be single pops instead of doubles so it’s kind of the equivalent of 144 CMs.

C10 uses the same engine as C7 while being heavier, and C7 already loses to F-8F in AOA [J-8F pulls over 3Gs more than C7], and sustained [C7 is ~13.6 degrees per second while J-8F is ~16 degrees per second].

Then the J-8Fs FM is over performing. IRL the J-8 has a 6.9G limit while the Kfir has a 7.5 and a higher T/W.

J-8F.
“EmptyMass”: 9860kg
Fuel: 4319kg
Weapons: 948kg.
Total with external fuel: 16,261kg.
Total without external fuel [same AB as Kfir with external fuel]: 15127kg.

Thrust at mach 0.85: 7800kgf per engine, 15600kgf.
TWR with fuel tank: 0.96.
TWR with same AB fuel time: 1.031.

Kfir C7 with external fuel tank and 4x Shafrir 2:
Empty weight: 7285kg
Fuel weight: 3231kg
Fuel tank weight: 120kg.
4x Python 3 weight: 484kg
Total: 11120kg.

Thrust at mach 0.9: 11390kgf.
TWR: 1.024.

There is no reliable information on C10’s empty weight at this time as they’re claiming identical empty weight to C7 and that doesn’t seem correct initially. Who knows, maybe new wiring…
J-8F also has 58% more static thrust than the General Electric engine which aids in initial acceleration.

At super-low speed J-8F and C7 are effectively the same sustained. It’s only 550kph onward where J-8F goes further.
And time to climb J-8F succeeds.
It’s why I believe that C10 and J-8F are analogues.
Both derived from early 1960s airframes for a modern era.

JF-17 already opens door for ARH carrying squadron jets, thus Kfir C10 could be one then?

I’m a bit confused, are you comparing a clean J-8F with a Kfir that has 4 Pythons and a Centerline tank? And where did you get the numbers for the ITR and STR?

Kfir C.10 has been leaked yet again as of the latest reliable leaks. I have but one question for yall:

What type of vehicle do you ‘Think’ it’s going to be?

  • Tech Tree
  • Squadron
  • Premium

I think it should be the continuation of the Kfir C7 since another Kfir premium/event would be very shameless hahah

Even then, we’d still have the Kfir C.12, Kfir C.10 (Ecuador), Kfir 2000, and Kfir C.10 Block 60.

I have a feeling that it’ll end up being a premium given the latest JA37Di addition. Fingers crossed we’ll get a TT equivalent to go along with it as with the Swedes.

For me a squadron vehicle. Then a Sufa F-16i as a premium

honestly it could make an exellent first israeli squadron plane,it would be simiar to how the chinese got the jf-17,its br could sit comfortably at 13.0(due to its limited 4 missile carry load)

very well can

I suppose gajin called Kfir C.10 Late or Kfir C.10

Kfir C.10 is Kfir C.10

The closest thing to a “early” would be Kfir 2000, and the closest thing to a “late” would be Kfir C.10 Block 60

I’m mega hoping that the former is the premium and the latter is tech tree ( please god let israel have something good that’s also indigenous)

i suppose that kfir block 60 should be tech tree (it would have an elta aesa at it should sit at 13.3)then the kfir-2000 only armed with regular derbys and python 4s should also sit at the same br or 13.0 it would make a perfect top tier premium or squadron vehicle
