I was wondering if its possible to add an external keyboard to my laptop, my current keyboard is full on keybind options (that suit me comfortably) and i was wondering if I could adjust it so that i can use the built in and external keyboard for keybinds.
Additionally are there any ither extensions I could use if another keyboard wont work? Im not looking for large annoying buttons or switches, just something I can easily access and use when I need to.
If your laptop has numpads like mine. Use them too
Also ive seen people using external key’s but idk how the game’s anti cheat would react
I have the numpad set up too, but there are some conflicting stuff that need more keys, especially for Sim battles
You can prob do stuff like Capslock + (Any Key) or Alt + (Any Key), it’s what I do.
Really? Huh ill have to try that, thanks this more then doubles my keyboard. Can I do trpile binds? Alt+Shift+1?
I don’t think so, but you can also use any of the right function keys like right shift, right alt or right ctrl. You can also bind some stuff using Tab but you’re going to have to rebind the leaderboard key.

I don’t know if the game could tell which keyboard an input was coming from. I have heard of people using stream decks for additional key binds, but have never tested it myself.
The multi-key binds that @Burgerbean suggested, are the simplest solution though. Just put the controls you will need in the biggest hurry on the simplest key binds!
You can also double up some controls, for example I use J to jettison drop tanks, as it needs to be held down to bail out, so I can either tap to jettison or hold to bail.
Always use alt + number keys on anything important :D
+1 on this, and don’t forget that you can have 2 normal keys for one function. I use E+1/2/3/Alt/Ctrl for most of my radar controls and it greatly cuts down on the amount of keys I need.
